- SuNi stands for "Summer Night," in reference to the kennel at which this breed was developed. SuNi Akitas, as the name suggests, are a breed of dog branching off from Akitas, and are specifically American Akitas produced at the Summer Night Kennel. Unlike Akita Inus of Japan, SuNi Akitas come in all colors and patterns present in dogs!

Life Span: 12-17 years
Height: 24-28 inches
Weight: 70-130 pounds
General Temperament:
- Adopting a SuNi Akita isn't too difficult. Each one put up for adoption will have some basic requirements; you must give it a name, describe its personality to show us you got to know it, and give it a toy. The toy can be something you found on the internet, something someone made for you to use, or something you made yourself. The trainer (artist) of the dog may also ask that you fulfill certain other requirements, such as a poem, short story, etc.
HOWEVER, before you even think about adopting, you'll want to read our rules first!
By posting on this thread, or other threads directly associated with SuNi Akitas, and by trying for any Akita adoptables (including nursery batches, readoptions, contests, raffles, and so on), you agree to adhere to these rules at all times. Repeat offenders will be banned, unable to adopt, and have any currently owned Akitas confiscated, and try-out forms nullified.
- Do not claim any non-SuNi adopted dog to be a SuNi Akita
- You may own as many SuNi Akitas as you can handle
- You may NOT breed your SuNi Akita with anything besides another SuNi Akita
- You may only give your SuNi Akita away/have it readopted if you speak with the trainer (artist) first!
- Do not claim a dog that you have not won
- Do NOT spam adoption pages with random comments/questions unless related to that specific Akita!
- Follow basic site etiquette (no spamming, art theft, flaming, etc)
- Ask Perocore if you have questions (either by PM or on this main thread)
