Float Boats are very territorial. When males trespass on one
another's territories and are caught, a battle will take place.
The creatures brawl using their sharp teeth, long legs, and
whip-liketail as weapons. If a Float Boat's floaties are torn
in battle, they usually die. Their territory is usually a small
island or patch of swampland in the bayou or in the Florida
keys . They can sometimes be found in marshes higher up
north but still in they southern area, but not much lower
than the Florida state line . They cannot breathe
underwater, but can close their nose for short periods
of time- much like a seal . Both flotation devices and be
inflated and deflated on will, separately .

1. Please do not spam, marking is fine and bumping is tolerated as long as it is not overdone . Questions are gladly accepted on the thread and are not counted as spam as long as they are relevant to the species/ adopting !
2. Any player is allowed to have up to 4 floaties ( staff 5 ) . Customs/ event customs do not count towards this limit ( 1-2 customs max )
3. Be a good sport, if you lose do not guilt trip or be sour, there will always be another chance for you to try out for a float boat .
4. Do not bribe nor attempt to bribe any artist, if found doing so you can cause the artist to loose their position ( If they take said bribe ) and will instantly be banned from the species/ lose all of you preexisting floaties .
5. Pm the original artist ( or me if they are no longer an artist ) if you wish to rehome your float boat (s) . You may not trade them, but you can gift or have them readopted .
6. Please just be respectful to others and try not to cause trouble, I would like for this little community to be welcoming !
For staff
1. Mods- try not to be harsh or give punishment, you are here to keep the peace and order, not be strict law enforcers !
2. For staff customs, you may have one ( after some effort has been shown ). But if you show exceptional involvement with the species ( helping with events, making [ many ] adopts, so on so forth ) you may make/ have a current artist make you another with my permission .
3. Via line edits and custom lines- go for it ! As long as it is still identifiable as a float boat you may do it .
4. As an artist you should make 3-4 adopts a month ( unless giving express permission or if you are a 'ghost' artist ) . Any artist that remains in active for long periods of time ( without notice [ around 2 or so months ] ) will be removed from the team .

-They are a water oriented mammal . ( Fresh water ! )
- Both tubes can be inflated and deflated on will .
- These guys are not venomous but they do pack a pretty nasty bite- like a hognose snake .
- Long legs *Catcall*
- They have webbed paws- much like a retriever dog .
- They see like snakes and also tend to "taste" the air .
- They have soft, sleek fur but can sometimes be found with longer variations .
- Large ears .
- Lots of small, razor sharp teeth
- They float !
- Nickname is "Floaties" ? ewe

-From the second they're born, Float Boats are adept swimmers. They are known as one of the best swimmers in the word, because of their ability to swim for hours and hours at the same pace without tiring.
-From birth to adulthood, Float Boats are unable to control their floaties. The young animal's floaties will inflate and deflate randomly.
-Though they don't need them to, Float Boats sometimes rely on their floaties to stay above the water.
