What is a KTT? wrote:Kits of the tufted tails, commonly called KTTs or tufts, are essentially fluffy felines with long tails that taper to a tuft at the end, much like a lion's but with thicker fur. KTTs, a very affectionate species compared to other wild cats, are most closely related to snow leopards and ocelots and originally lived in highland regions all over the world, including but not limited to the Himalaya, the Andes, and the Swiss Alps. KTTs are omnivorous, unlike other wildcats, and most can eat virtually everything, including modern-day "human" foods. No KTT will ever be without the signature tufted tail and few, if any, with very short, or even no, fur.
Announcements
May 16, 2015 wrote:Hello everyone! This is an extremely important announcement as it has to do with the changes that have now been made in the adoption center.
To start it off, I would like to announce that almost every KTT from the old thread will be given a line transfer and design revamp by me on this thread. I will not transfer/revamp custom KTTs or KTT #6 as two of the three customs were not original designs. The third custom was a staff member's custom and as I'm not sure if they would like to keep that as a custom or not (see below on info about staff/customs). I won't be transferring KTT #6 as the artist who made it neglected to put a form up and thus it was never adopted out. Every other KTT from the old thread will be transferred eventually, however, and if you previously owned one of them you will continue to own it. Of course, you don't have to use the revamped version if you don't like it, but I do encourage it.
On staff, I unfortunately have decided to wipe the staff board clean. I know on the old thread I promised that all previous staff would keep their positions, but due to a variety of reasons I have decided against this. Part of the reason is that I want to get a fresh start on my old adoption center, which I've really tried to polish up from what it once was, and everything else is private enough that I do not wish to share it here. Because of this each staff member, including guest artists, will receive a compensation gift of a custom, uncommon or lower, made by me (you can all PM me ideas, by the way). I'm really sorry to all previous staff members who were counting on being staff here, this was beyond your control! Remember that you can always try out in the artist competition, moderator applications, and guest artist applications and possibly become a part of staff again, if you are accepted!
The old currency system with Meowl is also being removed. In the past, users could trade in pets and C$ and get a currency called Meowl, shortened to M. I am planning to open a KTT shop with items such as contacts and the like, but I'm planning to make a new currency for the shop. I also didn't particularly like how the M system worked so whatever is used in the new shop will not be the same. However, as many people already have M (some had even paid pets for their M), they will be given the equivalent of the new currency in the new shop. One of the users had traded in for infinite M — this would likely ruin the system that will be set up in the shop, so they will receive the amount of currency that the pet they traded in would equate to. I am also removing the old buy-a-custom system as I would like customs to be a little more special than that.
It has also come to my attention that all KTTs that were made in the original artist competition were to be kept. Unfortunately, with the way that I want to run my adoption center now, I do not want to allow this. You can still keep your artist competition entries as characters for yourself but they will only be counted as a breed of feline characters and not as an official KTT. I'm sorry for those of you who are bummed about this, but it is what I can allow.
And now for new stuff on the new thread! I will try to keep this short as you've read a ton of text already, sorry about that. While the front page is still semi-WIP, all the important information has been written and put up. There are a ton of new and changed rules, so be sure to read them all! I've also introduced something new — rarities! Every KTT will be given a rarity according to the guide in the "About" post, including transfer KTTs. I am also introducing a new mascot to the mix, named Harmony. Soul Flame, our old mascot, can and will still be used as a mascot for the adoption center, and she's already gotten a revamp here. The lineart is (obviously) new, and I have made baby lines as well, so a nursery will be opened soon! We will also begin archiving KTTs once I decide to either start one or hire an archivist to do it for me :p
And that's about it, I believe! See you guys later! c;
