Elven Draconian Cats, otherwise known as Elvies, are merry and sometimes mischievous species who live off an omnivorous diet. Their pelt is often slick and smooth with long, harsh tufts growing from their shoulders and rear, yet some have been known to boast luscious long fur. Their most distinctive feature is their pointed and slightly curled ears, obviously giving rise to their name. Elvies can range from height and build but average between the size of a Siberian tiger and a horse. They are a highly adaptable and intelligent species being able to converse in a variety of learned languages, this talent has led them to migrate across the globe.

Breeding R U L E S:


Follow all main adopts rules.

Elvies mate for life, choose wisely.
A couple must be mates for two weeks before they can breed.
Elvies can breed once a month.
An Elvie can breed up to four times for now.
A mated couple can be any gender combination mxf fxf mxm, all sexualities are supported within these adopts and if you post hate in any form that will earn you a ban/suspension. I do not tolerate hate.
Elvies that are related by blood cannot breed.
Make sure you have permission from the owner of your Elvie’s mate to breed them.
Do not post a form unless an artist is open, artists will post on this thread when they’re accepting tickets, and how many.

Each kittle/batch will consist of one kitlett (offspring), in some cases two, or in rare events three!
Fraternal twins are quite uncommon, while identical twins are very rare.
Identical twins are those who have developed within the same egg, unlike their name suggest they will not be 100% identical. However their pelts will either be mirror images or inverted of their twin.
Babies can age into their next stage once a month.

R U L E S for Staff:


Artists are allowed to edit an Elvies lines if the parents have a particular edit, you are also allowed free license to represent that edit in however you like. (EG, manes don't always have to be the same style, same with hair, fluff can on occasion be moved to a different part of the body, ect)
Use a number generator to to determine gender and twins/triplets - Number generator
(Refer to genetics section for odds/percentages). Each category is rolled starting from the bottom of the list, eg, triplets are rolled for, if no triplets occur than move onto identical twins ect.
If two Elvies have a similar edit, eg hair, it is almost a given for that edit to occur in the offspring (but not always in rare circumstances)
Shorter/smaller edits are always dominate over larger edits. The exemption is of short haired males, female kitletts can display long hair from a short haired father even if the mother has no hair (as it is but a hair style).
Mods and Artists must be mature when speaking to the general public.

G E N E T I C S:

Genetics in Elvies are rather random and indeterminate, it's hard to pin point what precisely will occur in your kittle/batch. However some aspects can be broken down into percentages.

Male or Female = 50% (1 in 2 // Females 1, Males 2)
Fraternal twins = 30% (1 in 15 // 15 is twins)
Identical Twins = 10% (1 in 30 // 30 is Identical twins!)
Triplets = 5% (1 in 40 // 40 is Triplets!! )

Apart from this it is a common known fact that the resulting Kitletts will always be ether a combination, or the same type as their parents (eg, two short tails will only breed short-tailed kitletts) unless a hidden genetic is involved. Also it seems a shorter, smaller, or less extreme edit/mutation is the dominate over larger, longer, or extreme edits.
