What is a Somni Lupu?
A Somni Lupu can also be known as a 'Dream Wolf'. These creatures are mostly nocturnal, spreading dreams and thoughts to the thousands of other creatures in the world- known to not be evil, but good. Only on rare occasions are there the nasty, evilish type that roam the same areas, but tend to be active during the day as well. On average, the Somni Lupus grow to be no taller than the average desk- however, there have been many sightings of them being as tall as a book shelf, if not larger. There really is no permanent records of the height, but they do tend to stay in that area.
How do they appear?
Moving on about these wolves.. The wild ones are more tribal, tend to be more natural colors, with contrasting paint like markings. While domesticated ones can come in a variety but lack that tribal look. This does not mean that domesticated Somnis' can't have the tribal look. Seeing as they are often unable to be tamed, the tribal designs are more common. These wolves can also teleport, thanks to the dream catchers that they carry, and the ones attached to their tails. Due to having them built-in on their bodies, they are easily tangled in low stalks of brambles and other debris around- hence the reason they keep their tails up or curled.
Now on to horns. Both female and male Dream Wolves are able to have a set of horns/antlers for a few reasons. One, males are supposed to be responsible for protecting the entire cluster. Two, they are used for ripping bark/moss off the trees during the winter season (Only SLs with deer antlers are able to do so).
What is the habitat like?
The habitat of Niorun is an amazing place to be in- and also very beautiful.
Inhabited within the lands, are fireflies that keep the place alive, as they are the main power source and 'repair' creatures that take care of it. They range in several different pigments, such as a vibrant blue, yellow, orange, pink, and sometimes white! They are basically 'guides' for the Somni Lupu. The water is also something unique- always glowing a luminous zircon. It isn't harmful to the creatures. The only thing they really need to look out for is the greenish-black water. It is considered as a poison for them. The grass is yet another unique feature. It is a dimmed blue-green hue and, under the paw-steps of the Lupus, will glow a brilliant cyan hue that shortly fades. Many beautiful flowers bloom in the night and in the day, but mostly around autumn and winter. The buds will glow at the slightest touch, and may even shy away [closing] if feeling threatened.
