◤About Them◥
◤About Them◥
Frilled water Dragons are omnivores and can be found enjoying seaweed and fish. FWDs are happy to be living in oceans, streams, ponds or even pools any type of water will do. Though they have legs, they never venture onto land. Their skin is quite delicate and needs to be coated with water at all times. Without water they may live up to 15 minutes before becoming too dry. The body structure of a Frilled Water dragon is one quite similar to a wolf or a German Shepard. The frills found on the back of their wrists and hind are used as a way to propel themselves through the water quickly.
◤Aging◥
Frilled Water dragons have three stages of life. The first stage is their egg form, in this form their eggs glow slightly it is very rare for an egg to not have a glow. Typically no glow means the egg is empty or the hatching inside is no longer alive. There have been some occurrences where a non glowing egg has hatched. A hatching from a non glowing egg may have some deformities such as torn frills or no frills at all.
The Second stage is the pup stage this is when the hatching has come out of its shell. a normal pup will stay a pup for about a year before being referred to an adult. However there have been cases where the pup never grows up, these are known as runts. Runts will stay in the pup stage forever, these Runts will never mate due to their child like appearance. On the other side of things pups can undergo hyper-aging, after only 4 weeks they can be the same as a normal adult however due to the rapid aging they may suffer from different side effects such as blindness or the inability to breed.
The third stage is the adult stage, this stage is the last of all three of them this is the full grown adult. Once the Frilled Water Dragon has become full grown it can start it's family or it may choose to wander around the ocean looking for adventures.
