Welcome to the official thread for Faetars!
Previously known as Nyrias, I've decided to redo them and make sure they thrive.
All previous Nyrias will now be known as Faetars.
All previous owners still get to keep their Faetars.
I've hired some wonderful artists to do some designs for these babes.
If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message in the thread.
I will try to get to you as soon as I can.
Please abide by the rules listed here and make sure you read them thoroughly.

Appearances / Features

‣ Cervine Body
‣ Delicate, flightless wings
‣ Antennae with dual bulbs
‣ 1 antennae bulb illuminates
‣ No tails ; buttfluffs
‣ Long, furred ears
‣ Delicate body structure ; flight response over fight response
‣ Can possess any gender - male, female, agender, etc
(non-binary genders are less common but not impossible to possess)

Faetars are a mammalian species that resembles cervidae. Their body and head look like that of a deer but their overly large furred ears resemble that of a donkey or mule. They have satiny , translucent wings that are not used and are mainly used for show and protection from the elements. They have no visible tail but rather the fur at the buttocks ends in soft downy fluff. They also have a long antenna that ends in a glowing bulb like an angler fish. The brighter the glow of their bulb, the younger they are. As they grow, the light will gradually dim and when that Faetars life is over, it will be extinguished. They are also used to find mates and communicate. Due to being nocturnal creatures they use their bulbs to pulsate and notify other Faetars of their location and mood. The faster the pulse means "stay away" and the slower the pulse means "I'm friendly". They have many different pulses, it may take some time to understand them all. During mating season, to find willing partners they will pulse their bulbs at a medium speed and make their antenna 'dance' in the air. If a partner likes that Faetars dance, it will join the Faetars antenna with their own and 'dance' with their antenna..

The species has recently been discovered on an island in the Mediterranean Sea. On this large island, they have been found within
the forests of the island. They rarely ever venture near the ocean or in mountains or caves. Due to the island holding treasures other than Faetars, humans have been visiting more frequently and some Faetars have snuck onto boats transporting people back and forth and are infiltrating many other countries, still, they seem to reside mainly in forests.

This species is considered Frugivores. That means they not only eat leafy greens but choose to satisfy their hunger with fruits instead. They eat a lot of seed fruits (For a complete list) so they are known as the perfect seed dispersal mammals.

Due to the peacefulness of this species we've come to realize that they choose to live in herds. Herds are much more calm and family oriented. They are not like normal animal herds though, they are not created for the purposes of mating. They are created for protection (more eyes/ears to see predators) and to strengthen family ties (most herds are made up of blood-related Faetars).
