They live in a far away world called Ecillia, and are known as Ecillian Wolves. Everything in Ecillia runs off electricity naturally, and the wolves have a chemical in their blood that allows them to channel electricity. The metal spikes growing on their head, between their shoulder blades, and on the pad of each paw are called studs, and they allow them to absorb electrical energy from the air and ground. The material of the studs shows hierarchy. Gold is the rarest, and highest rank, silver is the second rarest, and middle rank, and iron is the most common and lowest ranked. Each wolf has a lightning-shaped mark around each eye that protects their eyes from being shocked by channeling electric impulses away. Being struck by lightning is good for an Ecillian Wolf, because they run off electrical energy that makes up their tails. The larger and brighter the tail, the healthier the wolf. They live in packs to protect their pups, which have weak energies. To conserve energy, the pups have mouths that gradually disappear at they get older. Studs can be used for displays of affection, and they are how EW's 'eat'. They can shoot plasma/electric energy balls at prey, which numbs and stuns the prey. Then, they use their studs to absorb the electrical energy from the body, similar to how a spider drains fluids or a bat drains juice from a fruit. They hunt the various creatures that roam across Ecillia, such as the electric hares, which have the most energy, Rod Deer, which are deer with lightning rods for antlers, energy caribou, which are large and require several wolves to stun, and lynxes, which are similar enough to EW's that they can talk. In emergencies, they will take sheep, which are domesticated by the humans of Ecillia and are very special to them. EW's can also communicate to humans, via the human's Transmitter, which is a cell phone that picks up an EW's signals and translates them to words. They have one healing herb, called a thunder daisy. It's leaves store electrical energy to make to flowers glow brightly to attract electric bees, which then make a delicious, soothing energy honey that all creatures of Ecillia love. There are lots of storms on the Ecillian planet.
