*~Origin of Species~*
Aalonas originally came from a different dimension known as Hadrian, which means “dark one.” This separate dimension is covered in darkness, which is why an Aalona always carries its lamp around its neck. Their lamp is to light their way through the darkness. Aalonas still live in Hadrian, but, some have had to move, to find a new place to live. Hadrian has become full and the elements it using to keep the Aalonas alive is diminishing. Thus, the Aalonas have switched dimensions.
*~Description of Home~*
Aalonas still live in relatively dark areas. They can be almost anywhere. Most prefer forests and have adapted to the different areas. Forest Aaloas have long, powerful legs to leap over foliage and fallen leaves. They prefer to be in dark areas, whether they be deep forest, dark desert, or the frozen tundra.
*~Species Description~*
Aalonas can come in just about any color and design. Their designs help them to blend in with their environments. The most common colors are brown, grey, tan, silver, and white. Some uncommon colors for an Aalona are roan, green, blue, black, orange, and gold. Rare colors are lavender, yellow, magenta, lime, fuchsia, and other colors that make it hard to blend in. They can have any design. Each Aalona carries a lamp around their neck and have a moon/star hanging from their tail. Aalonas have three horns on their head, ranging in size. These are for defense, and, for the males, to show off. They all have hooves, which can be different colors. The male Aalonas decorate their ears with different types of earrings. The more earrings they have, the more likely they’ll get a mate. Aalonas are about the size of deer, making it easier for them to disappear when threatened.
*~What They Eat~*
Aalonas are omnivorous. They often eat berries and other fruits. Another part of their diet is small mammals, such as rabbits, squirrel, and birds. During the winter, when animals go into hibernation and the plants are covered in snow, Aalonas are holed up somewhere, living off of fat and food they stored up during the other three seasons. They rarely come out and about during the winter. If they do, it’s to look for extra food.
*~Length of Life~*
Each Aalona can live a long life, depending on whether bigger predators catch them. They can live between 40 and 60 years.
*~Breeding and Ageing~*
Aalonas reach maturity at about five human years. When they are born, their horns aren’t grown in yet and their fur is shorter. They reach breeding age at seven human years. The males use their earrings and horns to show off for the females. Aalonas can breed once a month, but may choose not to. Instead, they may prefer to raise the litter they currently have. A normal litter has five kits, as Aalonas have mostly taken after foxes in shape.
*~General Rules~*
1~ Do not claim Aalonas as your own. They were made by me, Windsong93.
2~ You can own as many Aalonas as you want, but don’t own so many, you leave them sitting.
3~ Staff can adopt out Aalonas however they wish.
4~ Separate staff have separate rules. Follow their rules as well as these.
5~ If you don’t follow rules, you will get a verbal warning. You will then get a strike. After three strikes, you will be unable to adopt out anymore Aalonas.

*~Artist Rules~*
1~ An artist has five normal slots, meaning, you can have five unadopted Aalonas at a time. If you have all five slots full, you cannot make anymore Aalonas until a slot opens when an Aalona is adopted.
2~ Each artist has four custom slots. As with the normal slots, if each slot is full, you can do no more customs until you finish a custom and a slot opens.
3~ You can adopt out Aalonas any way you see fit; first come first serve, an auction, and any other ways you think of.

For now, I've changed it so the artist has ten slots, due to the fact Aalona adopts are slightly slow at the moment. This may change later on, depending on whether we pick up or not. Also, still looking for two to three more artists and definitely need mods!
*~Guest Artist Rules~*
1~ There will be a new guest artist each month.
2~ The guest artist each month has the same rules as a regular artist.
3~ They cannot do customs.
4~ They only have six slots.

Normal adopts are free! All you have to do is fill out a form or whatever the artist asks you to do to adopt/win an Aalona. Customs will have to be paid for, that way they are rarer. Each artist can choose how they wish to be paid.
