Mountain Hoppers are creatures who live in the mountains of England and Ireland. They range from the size of a small dog to about 14 or 15hh, the size of an average horse. They are very well adapted to climbing and leaping from outcrop to outcrop; their hind legs are very strong and have larger feet with no claws for powering them through the air. They also help with scrambling up loose stones and steep hills. The front feet are not unlike the paws of a cat, if a bit larger; they are soft and padded, with retractable claws. Their thick tails help them to balance while jumping, and fur around their ankles and mouth protect the sensitive areas. Mountain Hopper's diet changes throughout the year. In spring they hunt mainly fish who have made their way up the mountain streams to lay their eggs, then, when they find a mate, they hunt larger prey together like lambs and the weaker sheep. When the cubs are born, they bring them fish eggs and fry which they store in rockpools. In summer they eat small mammals like mice and birds, as well as any leftover fry which have now grown bigger and are able to feed an adult. In autumn and winter they dig up hibernating mice and anything else they can find, like water voles, the odd fish, birds, and, if times are really harsh, cattle and even vegetation. They are very intelligent, and have mastered basic farming (storing the fish live in rockpools)

Okay, short and simple.
. Please don't copy these.
. Please read the information above. In other adoption centers I've had people who have made up backstories about reindeer, horses and wolves. These are none of those things. C:
. If you would like to breed your Mountain Hopper, you have to contact the artist you would like, ask if they are accepting breedings, and, if you don't own both Hoppers, the other Hopper's owner must contact the artist with their approval.
. I'm sorry to have to do this, but, once you adopt your Hopper the artist is required to check back on you after a week to see if there is a mention of it anywhere (art, stories, profile on a character thread, pixel art in your signature, or even a full blown RP about the species. Just something to do with MH.) if not, it could be placed for re-adoption. If you've been on holiday, or your laptop has broken, or you've had a busy week or something and you haven't been on CS at all, or very briefly, I understand. Shoot me a PM if you can. If you've been on all week, actively posting, then I'll ask you about it. If you still haven't done anything after another four days, it'll be re-adopted.
