About The Dragon's

These dragons formal names are actually Cyrus Dragons, though they can also be called Folktale Dragons. They can come in many different sizes or colors. Most of them average at the size of a small whale though there are some that will be smaller. Cyrus dragons can be found in any climate or place, seeing as how they adapt very quickly and with little change. Ones that liked in colder climates may have tufts on their cheeks to help with the cold though the difference is mainly in the color. Depending on where they live may also determine their coloring. Those that live in forests may have earth color, ones in cold areas may have light blues, greys, and whites, and so on. There are occasional ones that their colors reflect nothing of where they live. Despite having no wings the dragons are able to fly-though no one is sure how. Cyrus Dragons are not easily tamed by people and it takes a special person to tame them. Some have small holes for ears while other have actual ears that are long. This is completely random. Cyrus Dragons are only found in the land of Cyrus, a place very similar to Earth yet it seems to be stuck in times where there was no electricity, cars, or things along those lines.

From time to time a Folktale Dragon will be found. These are those with a jewel on their front shoulder. The jewel is said to contain their entire soul and being as well as their connections towards others. If broken the Folktale becomes emotionless, distancing from everyone and everything until it eventually leaves. The jewels are believed to take thousands of years to grow back, during which the dragon will sleep. They seem to be created from a folktale that the people of Cyrus have created. These dragons generally get the same height as regular Cyrus Dragons but these often have powers beyond flying according to their actual folktale. It is said these dragons will search for the creator of their folktale their entire life. And if they don't find the creator they will not accept any other person. Unlike regular Cyrus dragons a male and female Folktale will mate for life.

-Cyrus Dragons may be used in signatures or rps specifically for Cyrus Dragons
-Place adoption forms on the dragon's page of which you're trying to get
-The main thread is for questions, customs, breedings, etc.
-You may only have 6 Cyrus Dragons- 5 regulars as well as one Folktale
-Do not ask for items for you Cyrus Dragon
-Please use common sense
-Be respectful towards everyone here
-If you do not get the dragon you wanted do not make others feel bad

Artist Rules

-If you want to make lineart edits, pm Darvith
-Do not make a Folktale Dragon without permission from Darvith
-If you wish to try out for a Dragon you made another artist or staff member must judge the contest
-When you create a custom please post the form with the pet for the archivist
-You can make 2 adopts a day
-When you want to do customs is up to you, pm Darvith so that she can open them up on the post where customs are listed.
-Backgrounds are completely up to you
-Make your own forms for the adopts, give challenges, and etc. So long as the way to win the adopt is fair
-Do not remove Chomp's Signature! These are their linearts. However you may move the signature if needed.

About Breeding

Cyrus Dragons rarely ever mate for life. Every three years all Cyrus Dragons gather at a sacred meeting place none only to them in which the males will court females by showing off with different tricks. The females may pick quickly or slowly depending on their looks. Those that are multi-colored with intricate designs may pick slower, often leaning towards males with multi-colors and intricate designs as well. Those that have fewer colors with little or no designs will go for males with the same. The only dragons that do not breed are Folktale Dragons, due to the fact that never get attached to anyone but their human. However, there have been rare occasions where a female and male Folktale Dragon will guide their humans towards another human with a Folktale Dragon in order for the two dragons to be together. The dragons will only have one newborn.

Male and Female Folktales are the only Cyrus Dragons who mate for life.

Breeding Rules

-Breedings will only be taken by open Artists
-Folktale Dragons will not breed with regular Dragons!
-Both owners of the dragons must give consent.
-Decide between yourselves who will get the Newborn
