Ankle Biters are small, stocky animals with the legs of a horse only they haven't any hooves, they have also got tusks, used for fighting and digging up food. Ankle Biter are carnivour's which means they eat meat, they have thick coats which adapt to life in the high snowy mountains. They live in large groups like wolves and other canine creatures, their diet includes animals as large as Mountain goats, and the small rodent; Shrew, if a large group of Ankle biters are starving they will even take to killing a bear! Also adult Ankle biters are 8 inches tall so try not to step on an untamed one..., you might just lose a toe.
Life in the group is busy and social, at the head of a group is the strongest and eldest female, she controls the group and leads the hunts. If any Ankle biters take their fill of food before her or disrespect her she may kill it or even drive it out of the group, even her own children! Though it seems violent and cruel in the group, it is actually quiet pleasant. All the adults help suckle and care for the young, taking turns babysitting, bringing food and even carrying them around.
The diet of a Ankle biter contains:
Fish
rodents
mountain goats
large and small birds
and large vegetarians
It is hard to tame a wild Ankle biter but you could adopt a born tame Ankle biter. To tame a Ankle Biter you need to temp it to leave it's group and feed it it's favourite food: Trout. You need to give it a certain amount or it will run away from you. After it has given you it's approval, take it home but put it in a comfortable cage for a few nights, to get used to you ( also it may destroy your living room...)
