Yesterday, a dwarf gave you one of his old pickaxes.
Curious, you decide to try and do a little mining yourself!
Wielding the pickax, you enter a cave that seems promising.
Something moves in the darkness, startling you. You swing your pick!
The figure ducks and gives a shout not to attack, they don't mean any harm!
It turns out to be another dwarf! He lights a lantern, and you see he's very dirty.
When he sees your pickax, he gets really excited and jumps up and down.
Apparently, all of his pickaxes broke so he hasn't been able to mine.
The dwarf says he'd be willing to trade something for the pickax.
When you ask what he'd trade, he holds out a handful of balloons.
It turns out the dwarf's side hobby is balloon animals! How odd.
But he seems to need the pickax more than you, so you do the trade.

Feedback, please?

The first opening of the exploration thread is now over! I hope everyone had as much fun reading their results as I did writing them! I noticed there weren't a lot of comments on the stories, though. So I'd appreciate some feedback now that exploration has closed! If you have the time and would be so kind, I'd love to hear what everyone thought of how the exploration was conducted! Did you enjoy reading the short stories for your results? Would you prefer to just be told you found something or didn't find something, rather than have to read a short story? Let me know your thoughts!

Wild Stuffalynns

If you found a wild Stuffalynn during this opening, please check this post for updates! I greatly underestimated the number of wild Stuffalynns that would be found, so I'm going to be working on getting them made and put up throughout the week.

Items & Accessories

If you found an item or accessory during this opening, I will be putting all of them into Bank accounts and the Scrolls sometime this week. I will make an announcement in the main thread to let everyone know when their items and accessories have been added. Items and accessories will not be usable until they are put into the Bank/Scrolls.
