Upon sighting the beautiful alicorn, I squeaked joyfully and skipped towards her to begin a conversation. I just had so much to ask! Unfortunately, none of my jumbled questions in my head managed to really make it to the majestic mare, due to awkwardly tripping over a rock in the grass. I fell in the dirt, and rolling the rest of the way to her, I ended up flopping to a stop at her feet. I looked up at her and her snake, and coughed out some dirt I had managed to breathe in on my unfortunate trip to the mare.
"Um... Hi..." I tried to begin, as respectfully as I could manage in my awkward state. I quickly decided that the best way to start the conversation would likely be to reply to her offer for a new herd member.
"I... I guess have always had this phantom of a horse that would periodically float through my mind... He would only show for a moment, so all I could ever make out was his painted, contrasting fur that hid him from sight in mud and dirt from up above, but also camoflauged him in the whiteness of the clouds if viewed from below. And he was so fast, it was as if he could become one of the clouds in the sky, or part of the wind that brushed the grass on the ground.".
I closed my eyes and imagined the stallion, galloping across the earth as if he was gliding.
"It was as if he could fly... ", I remarked nostalgically. But upon opening my eyes, I remembered who I was talking to and attempted to correct myself. "But I'm sure you are the only horse in the whole world who could do such a thing... and all that other winged-angel-guardian-with-a-snake-friend, horse-stuff, right?".
I rolled over, and attempted to stand. But all I could manage was a strange sitting position, with my right leg balanced over a tree stump. I tipped my head to her respectfully, hoping to fix any offenses I could have unintentionally mentioned or done.
"Maybe a stallion with an not-so-awkward and klutzy personality?", I asked sheepishly.
