Maybe list some traits that can only be used once per person or once per adopt?? Or like ever other person who adopts can choose one or more of the rare traits? That's one way to keep them rare

HMM HMM okay! so in that case i'd need to keep a register of all the adopts made? :O that would make it possible i think! it's a lot of work tho... and i wonder if having to register the adopt with me would dissuade people from making some? @__@ hmm.. it might just be easier to leave it open... i'll have to think about it!!! maybe once i figure out lore i can do something like that? O: like only accepted adopts will be part of the lore/have certain traits?

i'll finish adopt #4 tonight and maybe get started on transferring the base for the open species!!

also... is there such a thing as semi-open??? like, i'd like to limit traits a LITTLE bit so rare traits stay rare-ish? :lc i have no idea how to make that happen though... might just be easier to make it 100% open ??? hmmm i have to think some more...

Semi-open is definately a thing. I've seen adopts, where you have to do something to EARN specific traits, Like write a story about you character encountering a unicorn to earn a unicorn horn.
You could also have some traits that are purchase-only, or only obtainable via raffle, event, ect.
