The 'Sleipnir' are distant evolutionary descendants of the Rapid Heavy Draft. SO they aren't actually Sleipnir. They are just named that since they resemble them in a way.

Before I start ranting, I would like to say I am not yelling at you or anyone.
This is just a huge pet peeve of mine because people take everything so literally and god forbid something named after a mythical creature isn't it.
Really, though, it's a good question but it's already been answered. I'm just going to re-answer it in a slightly more polite fashion, hopefully.

THEY AREN'T ACTUAL SLEIPNIR.
They're called Sleipnir because it's the thing they look most like that most people will recognize at first glance.
Plains Sleipnir are just specially evolved horses that are distant evolutionary descendants of the Italian Rapid Heavy Draft Farm Horse. As well, if one fits enough into the breed standard or the Rapid Heavy Draft, it could be accepted into the registry alongside actual Rapid Heavy Drafts. Rare occurrence, but it can happen.

In addition to the previous post of mine, I'm going to allow a new feature to be integrated into the PS species:

As well, if one fits enough into the breed standard or the Rapid Heavy Draft, it could be accepted into the registry alongside actual Rapid Heavy Drafts. Rare occurrence, but it can happen.

If you own a Sleipnir and would like it to be in the theoretical RHD "registry", PM me, pick a number between 1 and 15, and I'll use a random number generator to decide whether it "qualifies" or not. The odds are 1 in 15, as a Sleipnir qualifying strongly enough is rare.
As well, you have to go to the artist of your Sleipnir FIRST to see if they are willing to add in the brand [See Nemo. Her brand is on her neck, it's hard to see, sorry. And here's a ref of the brand ] before coming to me.
If they do not want to add the brand because they do not think they are capable of pulling it off, then do not heckle them. Maybe they could add someone to color it in to add the brand in their place.

Oh None at all. I was looking for an explanation in the earlier pages. I guess some how I managed to miss it. XD Sorry for the misunderstanding. They are very beautiful horses. I used to own alot when I was younger, but they were turned over to my grandfather when we had to move.

For Christmas, I'm going to make a few line edited Sleipnirs. Like the one with the braided mane. Nothing major, but enough to make it unique. Do you guys have any suggestions or things you want to see.

Maybe some Christmas Cart pulling gear. Or maybe some antlers they use to dress up the horses like reindeer.
