It was never her intention to be so secretive. Many a night she would lament over her shy personality, wistfully longing to wake up the next morning with a new exuberance and sociable side to her, only to realise her wishes were made in vain.

It was simply who she was. Someone who felt a flurry of fear scatter about within her heart at the thought of sharing her deepest thoughts and emotions with everyone.

Being called a 'selective mute' never really made sense to her, since it wasn't a conscious choice. She could speak, but simply didn't. It never felt right to her; neither the phrase nor the feelings. However, the phrase fit well enough, and so she was known as the silent feline. A silly name, to any of her nearest and dearest clanmates, for her actions always spoke louder than her words, anyway.

Tatteredkit (Tatteredpetal) is a shy yet sassy young kit, she prefers to be alone yet will sass someone back if they try to out-sass her. She hopes to train as a medicine cat apprentice and become a medicine cat one day, as she loves to help those in need.

Along with being shy and sassy, Tatteredkit is also very small for her age, making her appear weak compared to others, but she doesn't let that stop her, while she may be small she is not a force to reckon with, and will not think twice about standing up for herself and those in need of being stood up for. However, she has trust issues and doesn't trust others very easily, she has to know them for a while before she lets them into her life.

development: it was odd, how they came to be.

while it was difficult to get much of a reaction anymore, on the rare occasion they would allow themselves to be vulnerable, there's a sliver of guilt that rests at the bottom of their heart. for what they'd done? no, not at all. there was no way in hell they'd be convinced that what happened that night was wrong.
the shame that seemed to trail them like a malevolent spirit was rooted in the fact that they were given everything they could've asked for at birth and turned it down. their parents tried their damn best, and they still turned out this way.

perhaps some were born with evil woven into their dna.

monsters don't feel guilty, though. they couldn't be a monster.
