First, is it possible to have white brindling/barring?

A few other suggestions:
Having stripes/ barring on the main and tail would be awesome, whether horizontally or vertically. Also, horizontal barring of some sort, as well as some form of lacing.

Somatic is also a great idea, and gorgeous!!!

I'm not very helpful am I xD oh well!

Yeah, white is technically possible. I'm not going to mess with the genes that determine color any more than tinting. Basically, tinting works like this:
T = black, white, or slightly lighter of darker shade of brindle than the base coat
ti = another natural horse color
t = a faint shade of green, blue or purple.
As for the actual color within those categories - for customs, just tell me, for regular adopts it will be whatever, and for breeding, it will likely be similar to the parents or a combination of depending

I might add an on/off gene for vertical and horizontal banding, if people are interested? I like that idea :). And if brindle crossed the mane or tail, it will naturally stripe it. And it might sometimes just stripe the ends of the mane and tail.

Lacing is possible and I am considering have it affected by some brindle genes or have it's own extra genes - not sure yet. Somatic I want to avoid but I have some cool ideas from Stumpy to make a sort of chimera-like variation of banding ^^

Thanks ToyMaker! <3

I encourage everyone to suggest genetic ideas for markings(even unnatural markings) they would like to see in this species. I will consider everything and we can toss around ideas ^^

Hallo! I have come bearing a suggestion for you, Tendency;

Have you ever thought of having lacing as a marking? Oooh, also, a pangare would be nice to see. c:

herro der mes amis, i am believe. proud canadian, ottb loving, colt breaking, nfr dreaming. pictured on the left is my racetrack reject, landofmakebelieve, aka molly, moo, shmoo, whatever name comes to mind x] molly is a 10 year old canadian bred thoroughbred mare, and standing at about 16.2hh, we look a little wonky when we chase cans, but la dee da that's alright. molly and i tried several disciplines. i tried desperately to get her to catch on to dressage, but unfortunately, she still has the race bred mind and is all go. however, together we found a discipline which we could both enjoy; western gaming. this summer we started travelling to barrel races locally. our current record on a standard size pattern is 17.314 and we are improving with every run. and to all the low budget barrel racers out there such as myself, a word of advise; chin up darling. you may not have a million dollar mount under your butt, but you and your crossbred, rejected, hard headed, rescue baby can do it. you know why? cause those girls sitting in their custom circle y's, upon shiny, top of the line mounts are full of themselves. they think there's no way they can lose. they get cocky. stay humble, believe in yourself, in your horse, and most importantly ride your little heart out.

How is it I haven't even marked the thread yet? Psh, silly me. xD
I love the first adopt with the grouping gene Tendency, if I wasn't trying for the rose one first I'd be all over it. ^^

Lacing is currently possible normally, as are many other markings like rabicano, roan, sooty and such. But they act how they normally do so I haven't posted them on the main page. The main page mostly just lists things that are different or very common. I might do some other special things with lacing in the near future though ;). As well as with any other genes, if people have suggestions

And I can see if there are any pangare Tarvaliers looking for a rider... >.>

@Stumpy - There should be a few more with the Gg gene eventually. :) If I make any gg adopts, they will have a bit more intense competitions to judge

XD I'm probably rather strange for asking this

Is there eventually going to be a breeding thread/facility? Once you get enough adopted, of course. I'm really excited if there is!

Also: tinting stuff.
I know brindling can be tinted, but can base coats and manes+ tails be too? It'd be nice if you could do something like tint a Grey's mane slightly blue. Also, I know now white ended manes and tails are possible on dark horses, but what about black ended tails and manes on lighter horses? Not enough for the horse to be bay looking, just the tip.

Those are all my rather unhelpful thoughts! :3

Yeah, there will be breeding eventually. Not like a "facility" like some people make for adopts, but yeah, babies lol

And I could look into adding something like that if other people are interested? Only for manes and tails, not for base coats. Base coats are complex enough lol Alterations to markings would be more acceptable, like shape or color or whatever, but I would like to avoid adding much more to base coat colors. But I will considered this more too ^^

And yes, black horses can have any greyscale mane and tail. Lighter horses don't have any genes for darker manes. Of course, all natural mane and tail colors for a base coat still apply. White horses can have also have any greyscale mane or tail color. If people are interested I can look into adding something for more base coats, but I'm not sure how crazy to go there lol
