'Adoptables' are designs/ characters made by someone (like above - these ones are on pre-made bases) that are sold for currency, like pets, c$ (on cs) or real life money (to be discussed offsite) - that depends on what the person who designed the adoptable is going for. You're buying an 'adoptable', which is then owned by you and you can turn them into your own characters :p

Yep! I'm currently selling these lil guys or 'designs' that I made for 20c$ each adopt.

And yes, if you colour in a base yourself, you can then sell a design made by you. Just not the base itself (uncoloured), that goes against the rules and is also art theft. You don't remove the signature either, that would be classed as art theft too.
