.:Important Traits:.
~Joyous~
When Zeaoku is happy everyoneknows about it. His joy practically radiates off him and whoever is around him at that moment can just feel it. It's something he always loved, especially when his mother was upset or angry because she would feel the joy and happiness of her child and always smile.
~Shy and Outgoing~
When it comes to meeting someone new Zeaoku is very shy and timid. He tends to keep quiet and hide behind his mother or fathers legs, only looking up when introduced or spoken to. He always replies quietly, in a voice just above a whisper. Until He gets to know someone, then he'll run around and play, even when it's unwanted. He speaks loud and clear. He jumps right out instead of waiting to be invited. He starts conversations and keep them going as long as possible. When someone gets to know him they tend to wish he was quieter.
~Crazy~
Zeaoku can sometimes get a bit out of hand when it comes to sanity. It's something he tries his best to control, and usually succeeds. If he's been pushed a bit too far on any emotion he tends to go a bit insane. It's harder to control when the emotion is anger or sadness. It's a trait that basically drives his emotions overboard and she goes too far with things, usually regretting it later.
~Protective~
A trait he believes all male warriors should possess. Growing up in a family where he trained with only males he would be pushed around a lot, causing him to learn to study weaknesses he had and grow in them, so he could be as strong as possible. He would learn his brothers strengths and weaknesses and use them against him in training.

Story:~Chapter 1: The BeginningAny other night would have been perfect. Any night besides this one would have been ideal for welcoming new life. Not this night, this may have been one of the worst. Nauti poked his head out of the den and peered up at the sky. The moon was partially visable behind the dark gray clouds that slowly filled the sky. He growled and walked back in, pacing to his mate who was on the den floor, scratching at it in pain.
"How's it looking?" Luryes asked her mate, placing a paw upon his.
"Not good. Clouds still continue to fill the sky and cover the moon. It's a sad night in Isket."
The couple sighed in total unison, tonight was supposed to be the night of a storm. The rain wasn't what scared them, it was the chilling wind that frightened them most. They lived in a lower lying den, meaning they would have to travel to higher grounds in order for Luryes to give birth or she and her newborns may surely drown tonight.
"Can't you just hold them in for another night?" With this Luryes laughed at her mate. It was a gentle laugh that told him he misunderstood. "Dear, they chose when to come out, not me."
Then they started to hear it, a gentle rain began to fall over the land. They paid it no mind however, as no other warrior probably did, when the horrifying screams of pain emanated from their cave.
It was finally time for new little warriors to be born, if only it were on a better night than tonight. A storm like this hasn't come around Isket for almost 2 years now.
Nauti attempted to soothe his mates pain as she screamed and yelped and whined in pain. He would nudge her gently repeating that it would all be okay.
Then the night grew worse. Rain became stronger and heavier and as more came down, their den began to flood and force them out.
Nauti rushed to cover his mate as best he could. "Can you walk Luryes?"
"If it means saving my pups lives I could run! Help me up."
Nauti helped nudge Luryes up and helped her to the dens opening.
Once outside Nauti looked all around for a safe place to go. Then he noticed other warriors who were in low lying homes escaping to safety. "Come love, we'll get you to safety." He helped Luryes over to the warrior directing all the others. "Please help us! We need a safe place for her to give birth!" The warrior grew very worried as he spoke to the young couple. "Head up, go as far as you can until she can go no further, then seek help and push her just a bit further. It's your best option!" Nauti nodded and helped his mate begin her journey. It was horror, falling and sliding constantly Luryes worried about her pups. They reached one tier below the very top of the mountain and Nauti immediately sought out help. He found two warriors. "Please help me! My wife is about to give birth and she needs cover from the rain!" All three rushed over to her and nudged her under the clifftop and out of the pouring rain. The two decided to stay and do their best to shield Luryes from the wind and rain blowing her way while Nauti went to his mate and began to soothe her again..
Nauti's voice stayed soothing and comforting with every word he spoke. "It's okay my love. You're almost there. It'll be quick and over soon."
As the pups began to be born Nauti would take them and care for them one by one until the last one came out. Luryes panted for air as she scratched for her pups. Nauti brought them over, smiling as the crawled up to their mother to feed. The two just lay together with their pups until the rain was gone.
Even though the heavy rain and strong winds subsided this battle wasn't over. The couple now needed to get their pups back to the cave and hope that it wasn't too bad.
With two pups traveling per parent, one being held by their scruff and one gripping their backs, they set off. Going down the cliffside was no easy task as the water created mudslides and made most solid surfaces suddenly slippery.
The couple soon reached their den opening and Nauti was the first to enter. He set the two pups on the ground by their mother and wandered inside. Soon later he returned. "It's safe. Theres partial flooding but not too much for them to handle." He lifted his pups and followed his mate into their home. They set the pups on an elevated area so they wouldn't get too wet and cold.
"What about names?" Luryes asked as she checked her pups to make sure they were healthy..
Nauti looked from pup to pup, his eyes falling on the two he carried down the cliffs. "Zeaoku and Anana. They will be brave, like their mother, and strong, like their father. This I am sure of." Luryes smiled. "And the other two I shall name Lurtix and Tesoro. They will be caring, like their father, and loving, like their mother." The couple smiled at their new family, knowing they were happy and healthy.
~Chapter 2: Gone TrainingIf there was one thing I could promise you that was the 100 percent truth, it would be that today is the first day of my life I feel happy, free, confused, and lonely in the best way. It was the day every young warrior had to face, the time in life when we reach adolescence and have to be taught about adulthood. Today was the day I reached that point, today I began training. Today I learn to be a true warrior of Isket.
While it's true, just as Rome wasn't built in a day, one isn't molded into a strong warrior in a day. Training can last for a very long time and can be a great struggle. It can seem like forever to an anxious trainee like myself, but nothing could compare to the wait I felt to reach this day.
--------
"Focus!" I heard a voice scream from off to the side. It came to late and my training partner lunged at me and struck my hip. "How do you expect me to focus on a battle if someone is constantly screaming orders at me?!" I bit back, watching my opponent carefully. Once again he went in for an attack, although I was able to dodge it this time. "Learn to fight with distractions! And I mean fight! Stop dodging all the time, or do you expect the Kronadors and Chimeras to just give up after you dodge them so many times?" My instructor just kept yelling to me. It annoyed me how worked up he got with training, especially the battles.
I crouched my body down, preparing to attack. Lunging for him I sunk my teeth into his shoulder, a sharp yelp of pain escaped his lips. I drew back, I never meant to really hurt him. "Oh gosh, I'm sorry. Really, I never meant-"
She was interrupted by the instructors. "That's enough for today." "Yes, time to go home and tend to wounds and such."
I just looked down, sadness and failure the only emotions I felt. Why did I have to ruin everything I was involved in? I just slowly walked back to the cave where I lived with my family. How was I supposed to tell my parents, who were so proud of my siblings, that I just tore into my partner? As I entered the cave I walked to my corner, where I would go after a bad day, and just lay down.
I heard my father talking to the instructor. "Training end badly?" There were no words, must have just been a simple head nod. "What happened? Did he get hurt?" there was worry in his voice.
"No, it wasn't that."
"Did he get mad and storm off? He has a temper like that."
"No, not that either. He got carried away, lunged, and tore into the shoulder of her partner. We sent them home. He looks fine, just a flesh wound." I sighed, both in relif and fear. I wouldn't have to explain it to him but I would most likely have to explain why I did what I did.
Father was silent, which scared me. He was never silent unless he was incredibly disappointed. And this time, like usual, I made him this quiet. I hid my face in shame. Why would he want to look at his son when I couldn't even manage to train successfully?
I let out another sigh. The silence was too much to handle. Both from my father and my instructor. I was going crazy. I had to get out, go for some air.
On my way I ran into my partner and his instructor. "Zeaoku, your partner would like a word with you."
I smiled as best I could, scared of what was coming.
"Okay, let's walk and talk."
We walked in silence, just the two of us, for a little while before he finally spoke.
"I'm not mad, or even really that injured." hearing that I became a bit more joyous.
"Listen, I'm really sorry, If I knew I would hurt you I never- "
"Zeaoku, stop. I asked to speak with you so I could tell you this. I've trained with you for months on end and you always watched, dodging quite a bit. You attacked every time maybe once or twice and always finished it. It took me until today but I finally understood it. Your strategy, your technique, is one of the greatest I've seen. You study your opponent, learn their style. Then you attack. But there is one thing I don't understand."
I just looked at him, confusion clear on my face.
"Why do you hold back when you lunge or attack? I noticed that today. You never really would have inflicted damage, until today when you struck sooner than usual. Why the restraint?"
"I don't believe I'm ready for my training to end. Sure over time I couldn't wait for this moment in life but now that it's here I don't want to end it too soon when there's so much I could learn. I'm terrified it will lead to my downfall."
"I get it, you want to be the best you can be. But you can't do that if you hesitate. Real enemies don't hold back. They may not give you enough opportunity to learn their style like you do in training. Training, to them, is just a game we play to build character. If you hesitate in a fight the way you do in training, that's what will be your downfall." He sounded like he was trying to help me.
My ears flattened against my head, I hated being lectured but he was right. "I know. Out there, in the real world, I would die for sure fighting the way I do in training. I make mistakes a lot but there ones I know I shouldn't do."
He simply looked me dead in the eyes. "Then don't do them next time, give it your all and let the instructors decide." I nodded in agreement, smiling with joy.
I walked back home, entering my cave. "Dad, I will make you proud to call me son. Wait."
He walked over to me. "I have never been more proud to call somebody son. So you make mistakes, we all do. You should have seen me in my trainee days."
I smiled at him. "Dad, could you spar with me?"
He smiled back as he stood and led me outside, behind our cave, to an isolated area. "I won't hold back." I smirked "Counting on it."
He couched and lunged at me, I dodged just in time, turned and leapt, landing on his back. I bit the scruff of his neck, just enough to show I was attacking.
He screamed and threw me off. "You're getting good son." A smile spread across his face.
Just as he was about to go in for an attack we heard my mother's voice calling.
"Nauti, Zeaoku, come back inside, the boys returned with food!"
We smiled at each other and took off for the front of the cave. I was finally happy that, for one moment in my life, my father could call me son with a smile on his face.
~Chapter 3: My First BattleMy eyes were heavy from the night of sleep when I heard the voices. It felt as though I could barely open them to put faces with the sounds. Sniffing the air I caught the familiar scent of my father and instructor. I also smelt the rusty scent that comes with blood.
My eyelids flew open in a rush of adrenaline and I attempted to stand, just to fall down again, a pain stabbing through my front leg.
"What happened?" my voice sounded as though I had been out for days.
My father looked t me, grief in his eyes. "Son. I thought you had died. It was a battle, a bad one."
Sudden;y I had remembered everything that happened. My memories flashed back to just three days ago, when my training officially ended.
--------
I stood proud and honored in front of my father and instructor, next to my partner, as we received out official armor. Nothing could have prepared me for this day. Nothing could have gotten me ready for the day I officially joined the pack as a warrior. Nobody spoke, nobody had to. The praise and admiration was all said with glances.
I stepped down from the cliff side, satisfied with the armor I now wore, satisfied with myself. A voice came from behind me. "Congratulations." I whipped around to see a valiant warrior, female, standing behind me. She stood proud and tall, her armor shining in the sun. Looking her over I noticed all of her features. She was mainly white. She had a cream color that extended from her eyes to her mid neck. She had black tear like markings on her shoulder that stretched and smoothed all th way to her tail. They were blended with markings of a green and yellow colorings, which was also on her face. "My names Luxyrus."
"Hello Luxyrus. I hear a lot about you around Isket. My name's Zeaoku." She smiled at me
"It's nice to meet another warrior receiving this honor. My children too have grown to this level." she spoke with the voice of a proud parent, it made me want to find my parents.
"Let them know congratulations are in order"
--------------------
The next day was met with only bloodshed. As warrior roamed the lands calling for any help available I rushed out of my cave, armor shining in the sunlight. My brothers and sister close behind. We ran to where the warriors were meeting. Our alpha spoke, his voice stern and serious.
"Warrior of Isket, old and new. Today we must all fight as one. Kronadors have attacked in the forests and we are needed. Let us go foward and fight!"
Looking over I saw the female warrior from the previous day, when I got my armor. She was standing by a male, who I took for her mate, with warriors around my age standing all too proud behind them. Those must be her children. Either way we all took off in a rush towards the attacking enemies. When we reached them I watched young warriors get slammed down and swatted away all around me. The older, more experienced ones, lasted longer and even managed to take down some Kronadors. I figured it was my time to join. I had seen enough to know how to dodge and react. I made my first move, leaping for one of the smaller ones. It was a small struggle with some good swings from the beast, most of which I managed to avoid. Soon though the beast was down and I was on to the next. I lunged with all my power at this one. From what I was taught during training it was a male, meaning he could be very aggressive. I almost had him, I would have had him, if the Kronador hadn't caught me off guard from the side. It leapt and struck me down in a tackle. After I managed to kick it off of me and get up it lunged again. I dodged and swiped, claws out, managing to strike it's arm.
It quickly regained strength and came at me again, with full power and speed. I couldn't dodge and I knew it. Luckily I was saved by Luxyrus. She swept in from out of nowhere and quickly took down the beast, allowing me to find another target. I nodded my thanks to her.
As I went on in battle I would steal a glance to Luxyrus, watching her strategies and fighting style. Seeing how she evolved into the wonderful warrior she is today. One time, which is all it takes, I looked at the wrong moment. A very large Kronador, one of the biggest I've seen, struck me. His claws caught the side of my neck and I was pinned to the ground under it's massive strength. Struggling to get free I realized I would soon lose consciousness, as I felt it slipping already.
"Zeaoku!" my father screamed, running towards where I was. He leapt and gashed the kronador in a deadly area. I saw blood gush down to the ground and the large body fall limp in front of me.
"Come son. We have to get you out of here."
He helped me up and called to my mother. "Luryes I must remove Zeaoku! He is injured!" she nodded and continued in battle.
Soon me and my father reached safety, far enough away from the fight to not be in fatal danger. I collapsed to the ground, my fur wet from the blood flowing from the wound. The rusty scent of copper filling the air around me. I was so injured I couldn't speak, but I knew my father would do anything to keep me from death. I was quickly losing my conciousness and I knew it would all get dark soon.
The last image I saw was my mother reaching us to aid my father in my healing.
--------
But now I was back, fully concious and aware of everything that happened. Everything but one thing.Where was Luxyrus and did her and her family survive the gruesome battle that nearly took my life?
