What Are Kuma-Ferrets wrote:Kuma - ferrets as you may have noticed are very similar to your standard pet ferret, the only real differences are is that they have been bred to be slightly bigger and therefore are a little bit more "chubby" than a ferret. This is especially noticeable in the face of the kuma's. They are still very fast and very agile however so don't let their chub fool you.
Kuma's are known for being easier to train and domesticate than its cousin and has gained popularity for its intelligence and friendly behaviors.
Kuma comes from the japanese word for bear, this name was chosen for their size and huggable nature (not that I recommend hugging a bear).
These guys can come in a variety of ferret colours as well as a few more colours that have been bred into the kuma's, new colours and marking combinations are being discovered all the time now that Kuma ferrets have become popular in the pet trade.

Social wrote:Kuma Ferrets are very sociable and loving creatures (though this is obviously down to the idividual) They will quite happily live in groups but will do just fine on their own as long as they receive attention and stimulation daily as they are rather intelligent and can get bored easily resulting in some bad habits such as nipping.
Colouration wrote: Kuma-ferrets have been only bred for a short amount of time but various "non-ferret" colour combinations have been bred in to the species and more are being bred in all the time.
