Yes. Bullying is most defiantly wrong! But you don't need chain letters to tell you that

I got bullied a lot, not only as a kid, but even up until I was 19 I had "friends" who took advantage of my weakness of not being good at saying no. I was just naive and loyal to some people I was stupid enough to call friends at the time.
I've often looked back at the days when kids felt the need to tell me how ugly my choice of clothes were, and generally just thought it fun to say all sorts of stupid things to me when I was close enough to hear them yell.
I often tried to figure out why exactly some people find it necessary to be so mean to others in this way. Looking at it from an objective and instinctive point of view, I could only reach the conclusion that especially kids is very depended on their social status. It matters if you are popular or not, and you need to fit in the group in order to be accepted. In some way you can't really blame them for just being primitive beings, in a age where not all kids have the guts to stand out and be self dependent, and think outside the box.. And not all kids have the potential to do so either, if you don't mind me saying. Today I am 25 and finally I can socialize with people without having to fear whether or not I fit in, or is the same "type" as them. So I've also come to known a couple of people who once bullied as a kid themselves, and none of them seems to have a rational explanation of why they did it. Some say they just did it because thats just what they did. Others had lame excuses as "He deserved it!", and of course no one deserve to be bullied and mistreated. But I guess thats just their excuse of giving their past action any sort of meaning. Personally I just don't believe that their intellect could help them reach any rational explanation for doing so... But I won't judge them for their past now, because the most important thing is that they've finally grown out of it. Unfortunately not all people do that.
