you are awesome!!! How did you become a great didgital artist. Whenever i draw lines on the oekaki when i am making a drawing the become squigly and weird. how do you do shading too. sorry, I just need help!
8D Thank you! Well first i got really good at drawing on paper, in many different media's. Then i was really into Photomanipulation for a while, now just last year i started Digital drawing :} I do have a Tablet that i got March 7, 2011, it is the Wacom Intuos 4 wireless and it allows me to make one continuous line, of which you do Need a Steady hand for (sometimes that part kills me when my hand is tired Xp) but yeah that's how i do my lines it's because my tablet gives me that advantage. But the other stroke options are for the non-tablet and tablet users to get really straight and correct lines, with some guiding of course :} Shading.. you'll be able to see how i set the layer effects and everything if you color or open up my editable lines :]
How is it you learned to draw so good?
well, this is kinda a hard question to answer because usually people believe there is these certain steps everyone takes in order to get to the place that they are at. Well, this is not true, there are many ways but to put it simply i started drawing at a very young age, ive always had the talent to draw, and my parents rewarded me for it, so i kept drawing. After several years of having an inate interest in drawing i was put into art classes. My first teacher didn't know how to draw animals she only did land and cityscapes, so i was in turn teaching my teacher how to draw. Combine that with my high interest in animals, studying their anatomy, having pets of all kinds, my mom and i ran a rescue together for a few years and we took in all animals. I think that physical interaction with the organism or object to be mastered is the best way to learn because you truely feel the art when making it because you can draw from that experience you've had with it. My mom was a medical technition and went to school to be a nurse so i was exposed to alot of anatomy books also. Through the years ive built up my photographic mind where i can look at an object or picture for a few seconds then draw it the next day or week by picturing it in my head and being able to break it down into parts and even change it into a 3-D image sort of. Im not sure if this answers your question right; but i honestly never really learned too much from art classes. I was always the student that would be done with my art the fastest but still in great quality and have the liberty to walk around to help everyone else ^^.
Xp i use either 5 or 9 px brush, but i used to use 2. I have a tablet that i use, when i make the final lines i make long continuous strokes, that's how i get them to be smooth. I dont mess with any of the settings for the brush either except for size and opacity (255% as far right as it goes)Neara, how do you make your lines so smooth? Mine either get all sketch or way too thick 3: Then I try to make them thin and end up erasing parts of the lines and.. well you get it >.<
Example of what this post is here to prevent:Xp like I keep on saying i live and have lived with many dogs in my life due to my mom and i running a rescue together with the help of many foster people. I also have 4 of my own dogs currently, so ive had alot of experience with dogs. How can you draw wolves in so many different poses? Like, with many different muscles positions without even using a referece! I'd say you're a wolf yourself
