Help. I need a cure major depression.

Hello, fellow users of Chicken Smoothie.
The title says it all, basically. Ever since school started, I've been having some major waves of depression. I've broken down crying at least three times this week. I'm really stressed out (We've already been assigned three tests for this Friday) and I think it's just the fact that I'm not I a single class with my best friend that has finally dawned on me. I feel really alone.
Could anyone help?

Talk to an adult you trust. They could probably help.

Get a physchiatrist. Get help. I know how you feel.

Talk to trustworthy people.
Hang out with your BFF as much as possible.
Talk to and play with a pet if you have one.
Listen to some good music... even when doing HW!!!

This same thing happened to me, but probably on a worse degree. I had moved in the middle of the year and I felt so alone. I went to a psychiatrist and it honestly didn't help. What might help is to find a lot more friends, not necessarily super close ones, but people you can hang out with, and surround yourself with them. You'll hopefully feel more secure. If you aren't very outgoing, don't worry, neither am I but someone will come around eventually and you'll be able to feel better. And maybe if you see your best friend more often that might help. Hope everything works out for you!

If she's your best friend, she really should know. She is probably the one who will help you the most through all this. I go to my best friend before I even go to my parents! But then again, only tell her if you KNOW you have a strong relationship that could last through anything. This will likely take quite a toll on the both of you, so you need to know she'll be with you at the end. Good luck!

The same thing's been going on with me, and my best friend lives a ways away... Anyways, just try to relax, study with friends, listen to music. For me I would go into my backyard for a couple hours every now and then around 7 or 8 PM. Being alone didn't really help, it just gave me more time to mope and reminisce about my life. So, don't follow my footsteps. Surround yourself with people that genuinely care about you. And venting to people really does help.

Take time out of your day to unwind. Maybe a bit of light exercise, too! Exercising releases endorphins (in addition to any other positive effects). Also, keep your diet balanced, too; it's amazing how the essential nutrients help with stress.
