I just downloaded gimp for the first time and I am lost.. lol I would like to learn how to do these things..
1) Make my artwork's backgrounds invisible
2) Clean up disgusting lines
3) Make my drawings there look smoother.
If you have any tips or pointers, PLEASE let me know..lol
Thanks for your time,

) Make my artwork's backgrounds invisible: Draw your stuff ,then delete the white layer. Or jsut draw on a transparent layer

2) Clean up disgusting lines: do you use layers? If you don't try doing that, so the colour doens't go over the lines.
3) Make my drawings there look smoother.: take more time and patience. Practice practice practice

Hey Guys
I kinda broke my laptop, so I will not be rping until it gets fixed :3 This world is my world,
This world is my world,
I got a shotgun,

If you don't buy one,

Well an easy way to make your background invisable/transparent is when after you've finished your drawing, use the magic wand tool (its near the top with a little yellow thing on the end) to select the background. Little dotted lines should appear around your drawing. Then go to layers->transparency->add alpha channel. Then Go to edit-> clear. If it worked right the background should turn into somthing that looks like a checker board. Then save the file. (note don't save it as a jpeg file because it can't handle transparency. the best way is to save it as a png file)
Hope this helped
