track & field advice! help!

Postby DragonLoverHere » Wed Mar 30, 2011 2:06 pm

alright, today in track we were running 300s (or to non-trackers, 300 meters in a sprinting manner), and suddenly i siesed up and lost all breath and ability to breath whatsoever! this has NEVER occured in my years of soccer, and this is well into the beggining of the track season (note; track and soccer seasons are the same time of year). i had to sit on the side the rest of the time, gasping for air and trembling uncontrollably. repeat, i NEVER have reacted to running like this! my mom gave me several quiz questions on how i had felt before and after.

truth be told, my mom and coaches belive i have developed seasonal athsma. :(

im now on a stand by, taking medicine and using something like an inhaler to clear my chest of the sudden tightness. but, i want to get some help, to! i DO NOT want to stop track because i lost the ability to breath! my mom is going to take me to the doctor to get a perscription inhaler, but i dont want to hold back and carry around something that i need to take every hour! it makes me feel really limited and depressed, because when i did soccer ( note; team captain and striker {striker must diliver ball far as possible into enemy terf by running it forward}) i was more free and happy than a horse in green pastures.

please, ask me any questions you wish to know to help you decide if im disabled for soccer for good, and tell me your ideas on getting me out of this state or keeping my short breath at bay! also, i want to know what it could be, so give a suffering Chicken Smoothier a paw out of the dark!

Aww :( I'm sorry to here that!

It might just be because it's spring, and all the pollen is floating in the air. Maybe it will go away.
