Improving self confidence and self image exercise

Postby NotaDitto » Mon Apr 03, 2023 1:47 pm

Hello people and possibly non people! My therapist told me to do this at our last cession so I thought I’d share it on here. It’s meant to help you love and trust yourself. So you’re supposed to do this in the mirror but I thought we could all practice together on here. Say 1-5 things of each; things that you have accomplished that you’re proud of, things that you like about your personality, and things about your physical appearance that you like. I hope at least someone gets some benefit out of this. <3

Things I have accomplished:
1) started learning how to embroider
2) walked away from something online I knew would upset me, instead of forcing myself to engage to feel "mature"
3) Put away laundry
4) posted this even though I get shy about how I'll come off to others !

Things about my personality:
1) I like that I am compassionate
2) I like that I can be silly (even if I look ridiculous doing it)
3) I like that I am sensitive

Things about my appearance:
1) I like my hair, I love the color & length
2) I like my nose, it has a little bump on the bridge
3) I like my face shape

This thread is such a pure concept!! Would you like to go Nota? I'd love to hear about you as well! Thanks for sharing what you've learned :D

Good job everyone! You can practice this self confidence exercise whenever you’re feeling down or you can make it apart of your daily routine! You can practice it at home while looking at a mirror, in your head when you have the time or on this thread. I love hearing about everyone, I’m proud of all of you! <3
