helllooooo everyone ^_^ i know fragrance is a niche (and expensive) hobby to have, but i figured if anyone wants to discuss it here on cs, there should at least be a thread for it lol

my most recent perfume purchases are ari and cloud, by ariana grande, and lovefest burning cherry and yum pistachio gelato, by kayali. they're all sooo yummy, but yum pistachio gelato is def my fav out of them. i just got the travel spray but i might have to make it my signature scent for the summer. we'll see.

so, what perfume/s do you have? what's your favorite? ones you're interested in? i wanna know! <3

I purchased my first nice fragrance at the end of last year and it is now something I really want to create a hobby out of! It was the Gucci Flora jasmine and it is just the perfect floral for me= not too sweet and a very slight woody/citrus undernote. I'm definitely on the hunt now for a fresh rain scent. The new Target fragrances are also GORGEOUS if you haven't already checked them out.

omg i love fresh rain scents! when the rain stops by replica is a bit more masculine, and smells like you're hiking through mountains, and emerald rain by skylar is a bit lighter and more feminine, with notes of pear and mint. both are great choices for rainy day vibes.

i'm canadian so we don't have target here, but i've heard vanilla bourbon from the mix bar line is really popular!!

Hey does anyone have any recommendations for peachy/honeysuckle scents as well as clean and light ones? I’m always open to expanding my collection <3

honeysuckle dreams by skylar might be a good option for you! it's a fruity white floral (with honeysuckle being the most prominent) i haven't smelled it myself, but the notes look promising based on what you're looking for. the brand is carried by sephora so if you're able to sniff test in person, i would strongly suggest it B)

for clean and light ones, you 100% cannot go wrong with lazy sunday morning and bubble bath, both by replica. they're pretty similar, but lazy sunday morning is a clean laundry, cozy skin kind of smell, and bubble bath is fresh and soapy. also carried by sephora! replica is a really popular brand, i have a handful of their travel sprays and a full sized bottle of by the fireplace. good yummy stuff <3

My all-time favorite fragrance is Aqua di Gioia from Giorgio Armani, but my sister got me Black Opium by YSL for Christmas and it's growing on me.

vanillary by lush is definitely like one of the best affordable vanilla out there. i've almost completely used up my bottle of it. and vanilla sky by skylar is pretty good too if you love a soft cappuccino note!!

also i <3 god is a woman and ari. so sweet and delish!!

Re: the fragrance forum

Postby okabudge » Sat Mar 18, 2023 4:03 am

I know next to nothing about fragrances or perfumes, aside from the fact that my mom has had the same bottles sitting on her vanity for the last 2 decades (do fragrances expire?) so I figured this would be a good place to look for recommendations.

So my question is: does anyone have a favorite cologne/ masculine scent? I want to have my own signature scent, but there’s so many options that it’s rather overwhelming. Ideally, I’d like something in the moderate price range (up to ~$75) with an earthy or “green” scent. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
