What's the weirdest belief you held as a child?

Anyways, I'll start.
When i was 11-15, I thought that only good artists weren't from America. That since I was American, I couldn't be as good as non-Americans with art and animation. I believed this because I'd see non-American people post online and their art would be so good. I don't know why XD
It wasn't in a hateful way either. I thought if you were from anywhere expect America, that gave you special powers or something. I didn't have any friends who were artists and all the people I knew (and thought were better than me) weren't from America.

Another belief I held (and still kinda do) was that white butterflies meant good luck. If you see a white butterfly, it meant things will be okay.

If I tried hard enough I could learn to fly. I even taped feathers to my arms.

That I could grow up and be a bird. I believed it and dreamt(literally, my parents said they asked me and I would be dream of being a eagle or a hawk or a owl) of being a bird of prey. Sadly reality hit in at some point and now I dream of forgetting to submit assignments. It is a downgrade in dreams if you ask me,

When we were like 4 we thought that everything on TV was animated, even the live action stuff. Pretty sure we assumed that because of a behind the scenes section of Arthur which showed how they animated the series and we just assumed everything on TV was like that.

i thought speed bumps were an alligator we were running over on the road.

i thought it was all the same alligator and it just followed our car.

Mako Island from that show, H2O, was real and you could actually become a mermaid there.
I was like, seven lol.

I was convinced that I could transform into a dog while I slept. Yeah, still not entirely sure where I got the idea from.
