What's a Tier Specifically?

Hey guys! Okay, this is gonna sound REALLY lame. But, what is a tier? I have heard about them EVERYWHERE. My guess, is that it's the groups in the Lists. Please explain how the tiers work and how to count them, etc. Thanks!

Yep, you're correct! It's the groups in the lists. It's basically the ones on the lower tiers are worth less (not demand wise) than the ones above. From the bottom to the top it would be 1st tier, 2nd tier ... and so on. They are separated by a blank space if you look at this: http://oi48.tinypic.com/snni41.jpg( or the other lists). Yay thanks! Does the tiers count through all the lists? Or just a certain amount for each list?
