Am I being too insensitve/mean?

I need some answers here, I'm worried that I'm being too insensitive with my friend here.

She's been my friend for about 2 years now. Sometimes I say shut up, and I say crap and crud alot. Sometimes I hit, too. Well, she does the same, because we joke around that way, and we both know we don't mean any harm. But the thing is, I do it more often. I don't want to be mean to anyone, so that's why I'm asking here. Please answer, really.

if there's no sign of it bothering her, or she hasn't said anything about it, then it's probably fine and she knows you are just kidding around. But she might just be too polite to say that it's bothering her

the best way to find out is to just ask her if she would prefer you hit her less often, or prefer you tell her to shut up less often etc. It's too hard for us to judge because we haven't met your friend

What Tess said is defiantly the best answer, if you're concerned it might be upsetting her then you may subconsciously think you're taking it a little to far. Best way to know is to ask if you're not sure. (:
