Does no one collect my little pony anymore?

I guess this is more a rant than anything. I just finished an ebay auction and I thought it was a great offering. Thirty 1980s my little ponies including 4 rare ones that were made outside the USA(Italy,UK,Brazil and Mexico). Ive got well over 300.00 into the collection but yet I had no bidders at all. I put the auction at starting at 100.00 with no reserve.

Are MLPs just not worth collecting anymore? I am keeping my favorites but since I had no room to display the entire lot anymore I thought to send them to a better home. Guess now I'm putting them back into storage.

Does anyone here collect? Do you like the old ones or the new ones? Who is your favorite?

I used to... when I was little XD But now I think that they are really overrated. They look really weird and some of the idea's the manufacturers have of them make it even worse.. DX

yea the new ones are all wonky and weird looking. I never collected those, I have the old 1980s ones.

It was around that long? I only have known them since 2003 or something like that. I was little... that's all I can remember and my brother was already born XD

yea, they came out in 1982, the originals looked like little little shetland ponies.

i hoard bait pony, and got some gen 3's for 'investment' I don't know the value of the characters.
i have a bunch. the "gen 4" ones are hideous.

I used to collect, honestly. But I stayed with the G3's as it was more the nostalgia of opening that new pony up. Basically, remembering that joy of a new toy from when I was a kid. Plus, the G3's are prettier.

But I don't collect any longer. I have 200 some odd ponies in the other room, some very valuable, some not so much. And, dunno, I just lost the excitement over it all. So they're packed up, along with the few G1's I had, just waiting around for me to either sell them or give them away.

Though, one reason you may not be getting major bids is the economy. Right now money is tight, tight, tight! So a lot of people who would have paid that price back in the day, may not be even able to meet it now. I'd save the good ones to sell for when the US starts to recover again. Stinks, but there it is.

I still have some(I think). I have the old ones. I played with them all the time when I was little.

I think that they're cute and all, but I stopped buying them when they were releasing five or so every month. I was about eight years old by then, so I wasn't interested in them any more. My favourite was always Rainbow Dash, though I did like Wysteria and Kimono. I was recently looking for the blue and black pony on eBay, actually.

My little ponies have lost so much intrest...

The new ones look too funky.... I collected a LOT when I was little. My favorite is and always will be Minty! ^^
Komono (SP?) is pretty cool too. And Serendipity.

My mom made me give 20 of em' away.. she tried to get them all but I saved them by saying that, "They were from Angel, (My grandmother who has past) my favorite, or special. ^^

Still have at least 30. Might sell them though...
