Anyone else here do judo? If you do, here's a thread where you can chat about anything judo!
So yesterday I went to a judo state championship. I was the only person in my weight group, so instead of bringing UP someone from a slightly LOWER weight group, they brought DOWN someone from a way HIGHER weight group to fight me. AND they happened to be like CRAZY good, but did the same moves over and over again (cube nage [sp?], pulling right arm away, YANKING you by your collar HARD) She beat me twice and I didn't even get to ground fight or anything (pinning). And to make it worse, she slammed my FACE into the mat! (Knocking the wind out of me, almost giving me a bloody nose) She also fought my best friend, who landed on her head HARD and the person land on her HARD and she started crying. Yeah if that wasn't bad enough, the evil girl's MOTHER started laughing at her! She ended up winning two gold medals.
I suppose I should be proud of myself because I lasted a long time with her and faced my fears and emotions. The real reason I got a silver medal was because I was the only one left, but I'm counting it as an effort, bravery, and strength award.
So anyone who also hates this girl, or wants to talk about judo, please leave replies.
