Being yourself, really?

It just seems like people aren't themselves anymore. Everyone worries of how they look, if they have American Eagle or Areopostal or Holister on, if they have enough make-up, if they have the most popular shoes or other acessory. Why just wear what you like? I don't even wear make-up I am only 13, but I have seen 11 yr olds who have make-up on. To me that just isn't right. Neither is being what everyone else is. So I dare you to go out shopping at a random store besides the ones listed above and buy something you love, and not something you know is "in" and then wear it to school on Monday.

at school when I see girls wearing make-up and dying their hair and such I go to myself * school isn't a bleeding fashion show you are here to learn and not to look good!* and yes it always annoys me.

lol Same here. I mean, I have a love interist, but I figure that shouldn't get in the way of what I am really at school for, and if he only likes me when I look good it isn't worth anything anyways! which he doesn't.

Yeah, I don't wear makeup, and I am 13. Most kids that DO weare makeup right now look terrible. XD (the younger ones, 11-13) Hollister and all those other brand name things make me laugh. XD I am perfectly happy in my yellow canvas old navy skirt and a white tank. I mean, who wants to wear something that is covered in meaningless brand names? XD

I have to admit I used to be that way, and I still get stuff from Aero, but it is only if I like it and I have mostly non-lettered shirts now.

Dudes I'm 16 and don't wear make up all that often xD I don't like name brands things all that much that put their logo on the clothing. To me its like avertising for the store

Lol, wow. Yeah, I have jeans from there, but the logo dosen't show. Plus, I really like Delias, and the junior sections and old navy and khols. XD

The only time I actually wear make-up is to church. And for name brand stuff, Wal-Mart all the way for me!
