Nick Pets?? What is going ON here?

Postby Inkspill » Mon Mar 08, 2010 9:52 am

Who else is confused as to why Nick pets are so popular? They look like three-year-old drawings (no offense Nick I know I couldn't do an better lol).
Yes, I make awesome pictures. Yes, I can make them for you in exchange for a wishlist pet or two.

No, I don't make awesome signatures.

Well, presonally, I like them because they are unique. Sure the other dog's/horses style look more professional, but sometimes a simple drawing can be just as adorable.
Take this for example-
Image >>><<< Image
The regular dog is gorgeous and all, but it looks complicated and normal. Whereas the Nick dog is simple and unique. It's also more fun to find silly outfits and combos to put on them, too what with the expressions and poses. Both are cute and nice pets, but the style of the Nick pets are just more different. :3
I read the rules before I broke them ; I broke the chains before they choked me out ; Now I pay close attention ; Really learned the code ; I learned to read the map before I hit the road

They're really more of a joke. They came out on April Fool's day and caught on quick- people just seemed to love them. They're cute, in a dysfunctional way. So he made more.

I see it. Cute critters, however all the others Nick dogs are... Okay, but I love that pair. :3

Aw, look how kind you are, Trench! Can't you see why everyone adores you?

Why can't people show some appreciation? Maybe it isn't artistic or cute in some peoples' views, but anything can be art, if there's thought put into it. Anyone can be an artist, even if their art frowned upon by others. Even if it was a joke, I like it. Nick is a creative and talented person. Also, may I remind some, we would not be able to adopt any of the virtual pets on this site without him. In a way, he contributes to the art of these pets, by setting them up and making them "come to life".

I honestly don't understand why you are bashing Nick? He codes this frigen site. Mabye he wanted to be a part of the art!? So people like it! Its not like he is the best artist in the world. Give him some slack people. Personally I don't care for his pets but this form... If it was directed to me it would have been a slap in the face. I honestly think this is very rude.

Couldn't have said it better myself. (Although I do like his pets. <3)
