I just finished a particularly easy writing testing on Ancient Runes, just to prove that my skills are up to date... I do say, it was the most amusing one I've ever had.

Well, it was a group examination, and a few of my classmates from the previous few years were there also. At one point in the exam, we were supposed to be finding a certain type of clause in the exerpt, except no one could find it. The examiner, who had written the paper, insisted that it was there, yet no one could find it. It wasn't until everyone had taken to asking where it was, and if this was it, when my collegue Supritha asked him if a certain clause was the answer... and he stood there, speechless for a few moments, until he finally said that he had realized that it wasn't actually in the paper, and he was wrong. You see, in all the other testings that take place, there's another person to ask, a person of higher authority, yet not for this paper itself, and he was the only one who knew anything about the matter. Louis, one of my smarter collegues, apparently was not as smart as he considered himself to be, for he had spent an hour and a half searching for this clause! Terrible time management of course, but he said that it was an insult to his intelligence if it certainly was there; we all laughed, and declared that we would always remember that moment. Louis, of course, was extremely offended, and exclaimed this loudly, saying that we were having memories at his expense. Pardon me, Louis. All throughout the rest of the examination he would burst out about how he thought that he should have extra time for this(because of his folly).

Yes, quite, but then, I have always found languages to be quite easy, and these fellows were simply in it for the rank. It was obligatory to know a little of everything so as to better communicate with other species; most of my collegues in Ancient runes are of quite high class, always worried about the little things...

My ancient Runes examination to check that my knowledge was up to date. And I believe that we are at 996 posts, actually.
