i can't do this. i feel so empty without my hamster. i just want someone to talk to but even when people have stuff in their signature like "pms are open for venting" and stuff like that, i feel like they don't want me to pm and it'd be so awkward if i did. hence why i don't have one in my signature. i just want my hamster back, but i know that's not gonna happen.

I'm really sorry, losing a pet is so hard. Right now I reccomend you just let yourself grieve and be sad. If you need to cry, cry- or find another coping mechanism that can help you let all the sadness out, even if it's just for a short time. Sleeping, exercising, reading, anything that helps you through the grieving process. Feel free to PM me at any time. Things are super tough right now but I promise, they will get better. You've just gone through something very hard and unfortunately just have to let yourself process that <3 it's gonna be okay.

Just pretend your doing it for the people you love in life and only for them, and that they depend on it.
And make a schedule! It could help you procrastinate less :)

Have you ever tried setting small goals for yourself? For example when I don't feel motivated to study, I'll set a goal along the lines of "read 3 pages then you can take a 5 minute break". I dunno why but splitting everything into tiny little sections and then rewarding myself for doing things makes me a lot more motivated.

I have to second what the user above said-
It really helps to break it down.
It also is completely necessary to remove yourself from distractions as far as possible- like no computer/phone/etc except during your break period.
It also helps to not look at a clock while working- seeing the time tick by just makes it feel longer. Also, never break down your work into time (ie work for twenty, break for 5) unless you know you can be motivated over those twenty minutes- it's easier to waste time that way, whereas the other method forces you to actually work to get it all done.
These are techniques I use often- for example, I have to read multiple 200-1000 page books a week, and due to my schedule, I tend to read them in one sitting. I like to close my laptop, turn my clock so I can't see it, and read 10-30 pages then take a break to get a snack, watch a video, etc. That way I get stuff done but I can actually pay attention the while time.
That way I stop dreading doing the work, which makes it a lot easier to actually do it all!

This isn't that major but I would still like to talk about it

I'm happy. Schools fine, life's fine. But the only reason I do video games is to drown myself out from life, the life I had thought was so perfect, the life I had made for myself. My friends never ask what's wrong if I act sad, if I look like I'm in pain even if it's just mental pain. They make me happy. My family loves me! I don't know what's wrong. I just feel like I don't matter to anyone even though I matter to everyone in my life... I don't know what to think anymore. I'm really stressed. I can't talk to counselors because for one I don't know what to say and j can't talk to random people. I can't even talk to my family...
