My three best friends are popular, and I've known them since birth. Yet, I don't think I deserve them, as people place me in the jock loners category at my school. It's pretty much against the rules for a loner jock to hang out with a popular. >-< I've had friends who backstabbed me, just because they think I'm too "cool" for them, since I'm best friends with three populars.
I just don't know what to do at this point. I feel like I'm a nuisance to them, since it's partly ruining their "popularity" with hanging out with a loner jock. :c You can PM me, if you'd like.
Blue-violet eyes are stunning and there's no reason to be ashamed about having them. People will always say something negative about how you look. It's one of the horrible aspects of human nature; many people need to put others down to feel confident about themselves. You
know that it's your natural eye color, so if some irrelevant person in your life doesn't believe they are, who cares?
Popularity is just a game. No one is on a higher level of importance than anybody else. Life isn't a competition and neither is the amount of people you associate with. I don't really know what you mean by, "Against the rules" to hang out with popular people. What rules are you referring to? Unofficial ones that someone who tries to one-up everyone made? No. There's no rules for friendships besides acceptance.
If a friend is going to get rid of you because of their social status, you probably shouldn't have been friends with them in the first place. Not worth stressing over. You do your own thing and worry about yourself. When these people graduate, how popular they were in high school is going to be completely useless in the real world.
