long story short, at my place of work during lunch break basically all the employees sit at two different tables. managers and all the older adults sit to the right, people in my position to the left. nobody's required to sit in these places but it's just kinda expected.
but I so badly wanted to sit to the right, next to the one lady I'm closest to. been wanting to for weeks. I just couldn't gather up the courage.

but today I finally found it in me to sit next to her. she was so happy I did. it felt so good to come out of my socially anxious shell. ;u;

Welp, stuff happened, and we apparently have a cat now
It's so bizarre; first we had no cats in the house, and now one's safely curled up asleep in our basement on a little makeshift bed. (We have had cats before, though, many years ago, so at least we have some experience)
We've decided to call him Miles, and he's a total darling; I hope this goes well ;v; (Whether or not our dog can accept him (and vice-versa) will determine if he can stay or if he has to find a different home and hhhhhh I hope everyone gets along)

this entire week has been poppin


• got my paycheck & had some spare cash to throw down on some new platform boots, yeeee
• friday i saw beetlejuice in 35mm in san francisco with my love, dressed in my best lydia deetz attire, twas great
• saturday we went to a showing of rocky horror in the city and it the first time either of us had gone, something i've wanted to do for years. it was ridiculously fun and the cast member who did janet came up to me after and said we were the cutest couple
• today i got so much done, cleaning the house and reorganizing files & blah blah, feels so much more relaxed. and now my boyfriend is drunk texting me all this super affectionate stuff and i'm just giddy
• wednesday is my favorite holiday & i get to spend it seeing one of my favorite bands with meet & greet tickets jbjkabkads
• thursday i have an appointment at the salon to dye my hair black with a lily munster/david vanian/bride of frankenstein style skunk stripe which has also been something i've wanted to do forever
