Well, I would suggest that you ask him yourself. It shows him that you can stand up for yourself, and who knows, it may make him like you more. Just having a friend do it for you may not be the best choice. Maybe you could have a friend with you when you ask him, instead of making that friend ask him for you? Just a suggestion. ^-^
