I can't remember my exact process - I thought it up when I got my first gmail account, maybe 4 years ago? But I remember I was reading some Lovecraft short stories (Cthulhu phtagn!) and I really like cephalopods (there was this amazing program called 'The Future Is Wild' with Squibbons swinging through the trees) and... yeah. I do remember finding the fact that Cthulhu is not a squid very amusing, for some reason.
