I don't really care for pet names. Always felt to me like it was making things less personal. A person can call anyone 'babe' and you don't know how many people have been 'babe' before you - almost like they don't have to remember your actual name. That kind of bugs me. It does depend on the name, of course.

He calls me darling. And I actually like it. It's sweet and old fashioned and kind of protective (at least from him) and I know he doesn't typically call girls that.

neither my boyfriend nor me are into nicknames...but he calls me "Schatz" (we're german. it's similiar to "Darling) and well, i pretty like it X3

Hi all~ c': saw this thread and caught quite a fancy to it~
I have been with my boyfriend for qbout half a year now and seems all times been moving quite fast. Unfortunately we are separated by the ocean between and so its long distance yet despite stereotypes on the sort, I have never been so happy~! He came into my life through an interest share on another site and we were simply rp partners... But as we talked more and more we found ciommon connectors~ and seems neither of us asked the other out, wed simply went through the everyday process of getting to know each other with a couple skype sessions and in doing it all I fell head over heels for him~
Seems even though he isnt near physically he somehow manages to keep me smiling~ If I'm upset he will talk with me and he is amazing at making the passed worry seem silly~ and everytime we skype I cant help but to smile~
I cant wait for the last few months left~ When I hit 18 in july Im headed over to see him and Ill be spending some time with him~!!! cx

And over the nickname question~
We call each other bunny and sometimes things cutesy that trail from it such as; hunny, hunny bun, bun bun, hun, and bun XD

I decided to tell my crush I like him, well it didn't go as planned since my friend was like tell him tell him tell him when he was there and then he saw something's up so he started begging along with her, and in the end I told my friend to just tell him because I was a wimp and there was no way I'd do it. Well he didn't react well and told his friends =.= Any ideas on what to do? I liked him since June and me and him were friends and I thought he liked me last year but then it sort of stopped this year. I don't want it to be awkward even though he's not the sort of person to really act awkward.

So the other day after the final bell rang I had been having problems with my computer during tech class so I was gonna tell the teacher. K, my crush who unfortunately has a girlfriend, waited with me and then the three of us, the teacher, K and I became engaged in a conversation that lasted almost an hour after school got out. After the convo was over we walked to our lockers...we talked about stuff (not gonna be specific), and then said goodbye and went our separate ways. Well I only have class with him two - three times a week because we only have last period on green days (even days) together. Before that conversation we had never really talked much outside of the classroom. Well today I was walking around getting quotes from people for yearbook and I noticed him in the band room. I didn't know he was in band...but I realized he was getting his stuff so I quickly turned away and kept walking well he came out of the classroom and I turned around pretending to try to see what the noise was and he walked up to me and he said hi and asked me where I was going and I told him and he said he was leaving early (don't know why...hopefully a topic for a convo tomorrow) and then we said bye and walked away from each other...but he actually decided to come up to me and talk to me which makes me super happy and excited...on another note I was behind him this morning in the hallway and he was talking to someone else about going to homecoming so I think that I'm going to go to both the game and the dance hopefully in chance of bumping into him...is that weird? I hope not...lol XD anyways tell me what you guys think, you can PM me or just post on here...thanks for reading sorry it was so long, bye!

I met someone a couple days ago in my class who has some of the same interests as me, however, we haven't talked since that day. Today in class his friend passed me a note. It said "will you go out with me?" And then boxes to check yes or no. (How lame.) I'm almost 100% sure the note was serious, but I'm completely cool if it was fake because I don't like him. If it was real, how do I kindly reject him? I sheepishly avoided him for the rest of the day. (Sorry about this... I'm a high schooler who has never dated anyone before so I know nothing D:)

My crush and I watched a scary movie together a couple days ago. We weren't in the same house so we did it over the phone, but it was cute. He fell asleep about halfway through the movie so i was alone watching a scary movie at 3am. That's not cool at all cause i think a guy should stay up with you if he asks you to watch a scary movie with him. I hate being stuck between dating and the friend zone. We are too close to be just friends, but he won't date me because he dated my best friend.

I doubt he meant to fall asleep on you... My friend gets sleepy pretty much as soon as he lays down and he is no longer any good for conversation. Do I hold it against him? No. I'm also not sure why you specify that a GUY should stay up. Does that mean a girl can fall asleep?? If so, that seems entirely unfair to me.

If you feel you need to set some boundaries, that he is practically dating you except for the label, then say so. If you feel he is kind of using you yet denying you what you want, then find a way to bring it up - let him know that if you guys are friends, then okay but that you want to stick to that. Let him know you aren't sure where you stand but that you definitely enjoy hanging out with him.

Honestly, I don't feel this is enough to go on. Maybe he likes you. Maybe he doesn't.

Also I don't know what smiling at you means. He's in a good mood? Thinking of something funny you said? Has feelings for you? Only HE knows.
