I hate it when someone's character is constantly on the very brink of death, and every time they magically make it through. Just today, one of my favorite characters of all time was shot in the stomach. I thought that since his pack mates were all around him, he would be saved. But none of them helped, so I let him die. And I was perfectly fine with it. It really isn't that bad. Now, we have a great plot going because of his death, and I created a fun new character so that I could continue to RP with them. In the end, killing your character can actually be better than letting them live, so stop making him just stop bleeding after he's stabbed with a sword. That's not what happens in real life.

I once had a stray dog character[not mine] have it stomach ripped open. She didn't die. She miraculously recovered in a day or two >.>
Isn't it funny how night and day never seem to really be establishes in most roleplays. It's just on and on and on.

Okay, first thing that annoys me: when you see people who fill out the character ref and don't put down the personality. Instead they put down "Will RP Out" or some crap like that. It gets so annoying.
Secondly, the people who always have to have hteir characters be the best at everything. It is petty and just plain rude. They always have their character win every battle without a scratch, or always have the last word in an argument.
Thirdly, people who make RPG rules, but don't follow them. It gets so annoying when you have to follow the rules the person made, but they won't. Like how how no one is allowed to cuss, and yet they do it all the time. Or how they say that no one in the RPG is a master at some sort of skill, but they make their characters the best. It's not fair.
Fourthly, people who don't use proper grammar in an RPG. Ex/ "i don't thnk that i not right" You can't even tell what they are saying! This goes for chat speak as well. I can understand not speaking with exact precise grammar when not in an RPG or something like that, but when in one, you should at least use capital letters and punctuation.
These are the main things that get on my nereves in RPGs.

I'm in a horse RP right now and the people love to spam X3 I finally had to break in and start RPing and hold back the desire to get on them about spamming. And the only thing these two people are posting is one liners and things like:
hi bob whinnied
"Hi," I said
bob grazed
I shook out my mane a yawned.
The grammar is acurate, trust me X3. I finally had to break the boringness and make the helicopter for round ups appear out of nowhere XD.
I agree with your third pet peeve Miss Thang X3. I'm ina wolf RP and one of the rules is that no character is perfect and wins every battle and that stuff, but the owner of the RP's characters always save the day and one of them took down a human with a gun and walked away with no wounds while my character and another one got shot a few times. X3

I do that because when I actually DO roleplay, I get the personality all wrong. >.< Like, if the character is an evil dragon, he'd turn out to be a harmless and friendly one.

Same here :l I've tried giving good personality descriptions but it always gets messed up in the end :l The strong person sworne off love turns into this ditzy love drunk person >< I almost never type out personalities unless I'm going to make a strong commitment to sticking with that particular personality.

Same here. I write them out, and I try to commit to them but most of the time I just can't. With my main characters, I can keep to their personalities as I'm used to it already, but with 'side' characters, they end up the complete opposite. It is really aggrivating.
Although it is never as extreme as turning from evil to good. They will always be evil in my mind, but they might help someone or something like that... Still off their personality but not too much off...
I will be here
when you think you’re all alone
Seeping through the cracks
I’m the poison in your bones
My love is your disease
I won't let it set you free
Til I break you
You’ll never know what hit you
Won’t see me closing in
I’m gonna make you suffer
This hell you put me in
I’m underneath your skin
The devil within
You’ll never know what hit you
I tried to be the lover to your nightmare
Look what you made of me
Now I’m a heavy burden that you can’t bear
Look what you made of me
Look what you made of me
I’ll make you see

... Sorry, but isn't that something you just have to do as a rper? The constant fight to keep the character in line is your job, and half the fun of the whole thing. The character shouldn't control you... YOU should control the character.
I struggle as well, but it is a good struggle. This isn't to say your character cannot grow but it shouldn't be so loosey-goosey.

That's your opinion. There aren't really any rules regarding how to roleplay your characters. If someone wants to role play their character and stray from their personality, that's their decision. There is no rule that says you have to keep your characters personality 100% accurate to the description in the form.
Being a writer I suport letting the characters do what they want and just following along. Makes things more interesting.
