that sounds like areally terrible excuse to lock a thread, maybe you guys should make a new one for just the few of you who just want to talk about nothing! that could be fun and then they cant lock it or call it spam because it wont be off-topic anymore! name it something like, i dont know "chat for fun" or "the random corner" or something silly but with meaning to the mods that it will just be for randomness,! because you're right, cs IS a place to make friends and have fun, if its cramping and non pleasant than its not the aim of this site~[/quote]

well maybe get a help ticket and ask the mods because i dont see why something like that has to be locked? as long as you follow the rules it should be fine.. this is why im slowly stopping playing this game, WAY too many rules and bad people...like i cant even say my age on here? i dont even understand that policy lmao...

No offense to anyone, but I can understand 100% why the mod has locked the "Things that amuse you" Thread ...
Even if the thread has a pretty wide range for things that can be posted, this was definitely not considerate to be fitting in there aynmore.
It's not so hard to see the difference between a chat and some "serious" posts

I am going to disagree with some of you here- I agree with Bernouli and Verdana. They were spamming a LOT a few pages back, like they were just replying to posts saying things like this {not exactly this but pretty close}:

I'm sorry? Serious posts? The thread was never meant to be serious. I do understand we posted a bit too much, but I do not believe it became a chat thread and the locking of this thread totally defeats what Chicken Smoothie is and stands for. CS is a fun site, not only for collecting and trading pets, but for having fun and making friends. Why do you think we have a whole board for introductions? Look at some of the other threads, the Things that Annoy you thread, for example. It's only being remade by staff members, yet there is so much spam, which seems to be ignored. I looked through the thread. Unless I didn't look thoroughly enough, there are no warnings or threats for the board to be locked, even though it's clear these posts are spam. I understand that RPs and fanclubs are ignored, partly because they are not reported enough, but I've reported the Things That Annoy You several times since yesterday, and it seems nothing has happened.

You can already see the effect of locking the board.. Complaints about the spammers and complaints about being accused of spamming. Is there anywhere else like the Things that Amuse You thread on CS? No. What do we do now?

Okay, hazel. I agree, that was spamming and though I did contribute only slightly, I did try to get people to stop. I kept telling people to stop spamming, while trying not to spam. Okay, so those messages telling people not to spam could have been taken as spam, but I tried not to spam and put amusing things, not replies to other people and spam. I really tried hard, but I'm not blaming anybody. In fact, I slightly blame myself.

Thank you, everything that happened yesterday for making my life even more miserable.

The is a difference between amusing posts you or/and other people find amusing, and just some answers to other people.
I was mostly talking about conversations like hazel. mentioned them.

well than maybe they should make a different sort of thread because the mods are a little rough for 'spam' like, what the hell is spam? who CARES for spam anyway? its a really ridiculous word because i understand if someone will put annoying words or post a bunch of times, but speaking your mind and havig fun is NOT stupid spam. now i havent read what they posted on the amuse thread but im pretty sure it wasnt that bad. CS can be a little rough, not the fun site it should be. like to be honest, the whole 'trade rant thread' and 'auction rant threadd' now THOSE should be deleted! its so hurtful and rude! but having fun is wrong? pfff...give it up..

I agree with Shanoo.
Things That Amuse You may not have had a specific chat topic, but it was for talking about amusing things, so it was by no means a random chat thread.
We can't have been classified as spammers when we were simply, well, just talking about amusing stuff.
If the mods don't bring the thread back soon, I may actually leave this site, because ever since that thread was locked, CS just doesn't seem fun anymore. That was the main place for a lot of us to hang out. There is nowhere now to post amusing stuff that we want to share with the Cs community. Sure, we made a Xat chat group to try and stop the spamming, but as far as I know, you can't actually post pictures on there. Some people may not even be able to use it. And it's not like we can find another chat room easily, since the internet is so vast.
I understand why people disagree, but I think the TTAmY thread should be unlocked, as the locking of the thread has actually affected my mood a lot. I don't feel as happy as I was before it was locked. I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels like this.
Also, why lock the thread when we were only having innocent fun? That's all we were doing, until the mods decided to stick their noses into the thread and accuse several people of spamming. Seriously. You wouldn't like it if we ruined your innocent fun, so why do it to us.
CS is supposed to be a fun and friendly community. You know what you've done by taking away the thread? You've made the site less fun. Is that what you really want?

I fully agree with this.
The mods were the only ones complaining, until the thread was locked and certain people decided to have a go at us when it was really the mods who decided to lock the thread because they were getting annoyed with the "spam". The only bad thing the spam was doing was annoying the mods. It didn't hurt anyone else and was actually for a good purpose as it was keeping us entertained.
Seriously, a little fun never hurt anyone.
If you don't like it, leave us alone rather than sticking your noses into our thread of fun and joy.

i agree, i would say maybe you guys should of made a different thread for that but im sure the mods would have just locked that as well, i read some of the comments from the mod, Verdana, and she was the only one complaining and was kinda rude tbh.. did she really hand out personal warnings and such?
