Actual rant:
.... My 1x1 partner and I used to get in atleast 10 replies a day. Now, we have gotten in three replies...every few DAYS.
Is it really that hard ?

Yeah that has been happening to me too only its because life has suddenly gotten in the way since its getting so close to summer and stuff.

Someone just joined a RP I'm in with a deaf character. Only thing is, she can talk, read lips, and is 'courted by all the males'.
Oh, no.

Deaf people can talk...They also normally read lips.
And males might court her because they feel sorry for her ^^

But most of them don't talk normally for it's a bit choppy and odd sounding. Plus it's a wolf roleplay she's in and the character's bio says no one knows she deaf.

This is a tad late ^-^ Anyway, its true that a lot of deaf people can read lips, but it doesn't necessarily mean that it can replace sign language or writing. I've been in ASL class with both a deaf and hearing teacher, and only a small percentage of language is actually speech readable, because a lot of syllables sound the same and it can obviously cause misunderstandings. So what that means, is that like, about 70% of English speech is guessed. So I'm assuming that unless you have a natural talent for lip-reading, its not like you can understand everything a person is saying, so it would be hard to make a long conversation based on lip-reading alone. I remember when communicating with a deaf woman before learning ASL, I had to repeat myself several times if I wasn't speaking clear enough.

So what I'm wondering is, how would "lip-reading" work with a wolf? Wolves make more gestural or communicative growls and such...Eh, maybe I'm just bringing human-ways into animal-ways too much, but I don't think a wolf would be able to understand anything other than visual signals if it was deaf. /Me just being a realism freak/

You simply put restrictions in your rules and if someone makes an absurd power that takes out herds of 'the big nine', than you can ignore their posts and kick them out for disreguarded your rules.
