It bothers me how many people can't type, or at least don't type well.
Have they never heard of spell check? Or English class, for that matter.
It's severely annoying. =/

Hopefully good people will be chosen. I'm rooting for a few people. Most of the people that applied I've never even seen before, though.

I know, my English is not the best. But for not using spell check and beeing out of school for five years (never used English then before coming to CS) I think it is ok. XD
It hurts somehow seeing mother-tongue speakers typing worser than me... :/

Same here... And I do see a lot of people. XD

Yeah, many original English speakers fail at grammar and punctuation. It bothers me severely.
Where are you from that you've never used English before? o__o

*moans* For some BIZARRE reason people think I'm a mod -.-. I get PM's asking

.To ask Tess stuff
. For Customs
. Fights between members

Jeez....why me? I Applied to be a mod, I Am not one. My name is not in green or any other bold colour.

I have spoke to tess once. I am friends with rosepose though, yay (a very valuable friend who always helps me out)

I might post that in my siggy I AM NOT A MOD

I hate when people talk in chatspeak.

Li-La: I really want to be a mod, so badly, but I don't think I will be. Because of a misunderstanding and the fact that I have hardly 100 posts. I really want to be a mod though, I think I'd do a good job. But I'll stop ranting, or this'll turn into spam.

One tiny pet peeve of mine is when people have all these super-organized groups where they have separate groups just to divide the groups. It's kinda…I dunno…type A. But it's only a tiny pet peeve.

Sorren Fey: I love Germany. I went there last summer; my grandmother is from there. I went to Berlin, then Bautzen (and Großpostwitz, right nearby), then went to Prague in the Czech Republic, then Koblenz. The whole trip took about two weeks. It was really fun!

Oh JEESH, Sorren. Stop apologizing for your English, it's better than half the people's english where I live, and most of them are either from Florida or Dallas. Seriously, I sometimes think that people from other countries try harder to learn English than we do. My mum's from Hong Kong and my dad is from Germany, they're both 1st generation immigrants to the UK, where I used to live. Apparently they both learned English in about 2 months... I don't think I've ever learnt anything that fast!

@Li-La, send them my way and I'll tell them off....

@Poblakiwi: Aw, don't worry.... You applied and that's all anyone can really expect of you, I think. Post count doesn't matter all that much, on the DC forums some of the moderators have only 400 posts. It's what you DO with those posts... if you have 10,000 posts and all you do is go round saying "Hi, click this: SPAM" then you aren't a good candidate. And LOL I used to do that aswell but then I got sick of it... it sucks trying to find your pets and having to scroll for about a minute to get there!

@Karly: What bothers ME are conversations like this (This was a RP a while back):
Person one: "And so the girl went into the cave. There were spiders there and many interessting bugs."
Person two: ((OMG u speled "interesting" rong!!!))
Gawd.... And yes, person one was me. I really hope BlackVulpix, Featherwolf, Cervas, or Karly make it. Firestar would also make a good moderator, as would Honeybee... I dunno if she applied though.

@Firestar: Call me paranoid, but I think about 20% are in it for customs and staff benefits. People will ignore Tess's warnings no matter what they say... And call me stubborn, but if the new moderator is an idiotic non-literate person (which I severely doubt, seeing as how Vampy and Sorren get a say too) I won't feel like taking orders from them. I have a hard time taking people who refuse to use the shift button seriously. If they can't take a millisecond of their time to capitalize and learn to spell, honestly, they're not going to get very far in life.

I'll tell you what annoys me. Chatspeak. I can forgive bad spelling and grammar, especially if the person is not a native english speaker, but chatspeak drives me up a wall. It makes it hard for me to take the person seriously.

Also, it annoys me when people complain about not having custom CS pets. That annoys me to no end. Some people can get so greedy. So they don't have a custom pet... it's not the end of the world. A lot of effort goes into these pets... they're not going to be handed out to just anyone. I'd love to have a custom, but I'm not going to go around whining. I'm perfectly happy with all the pets I have.

1. *headdesk* But.... MODERATOR! Moderaters don't get privileges other than being able to lock and edit posts. Plus stickyfing. ( anyone know how to spell a word that dosen't exist? ;) ) IDGI :?: *sigh*

2. Yeah, that's kinda my outlook on forum posts.

SorrenFey wrote:And punctuation... <_<;

-_- Ehhh... I must say, I'm not very educated on grammar. Spelling I get because I read a lot. Grammar though.... not my strong point.

Poblakiwi wrote:One tiny pet peeve of mine is when people have all these super-organized groups where they have separate groups just to divide the groups. It's kinda…I dunno…type A. But it's only a tiny pet peeve.

Oohhh... It bothers me when people have a large number of groups and they're organized by what "clan" they are.

Well err... that's great for RP, but if I'm trying to trade with you it's exceedingly difficult to figure out what you need. :( I like seeing what people need so I can give it to them! *pouts*

Also, putting 2nd gens and 5 of the same pet in the trade section is irritating. People can do what they wish, it's just irritating to have to wait for pictures to load only to find out it's the same pet 9 times. I used to have a trade section that had singles of every pet I had for trade then a seperate section for any duplicates of these pets. It was easier to keep track of what pet I actually had more than one of to trade.

I haven't done an upkeep on that in a long time though so more than likely that's all out the window.
