The best way to solve this is to practice, practice, practice. I notice my breath support decline when I miss just a day of practicing. ^_^
I try to practice at home but my dog whines and whines. It's so annoying and he just sits beside me whining and crying. He doesn't even get up and go somewhere else. Anyway I'm lazy.

Anyways, *plays clarinet and piano*
People keep telling me that playing clarinet helps alot to learn piano. Is that true?
I'd really like to learn piano, we have one, but no one will give me lessons =(

;-; Instead I got a flute, the hardest instrument I've ever played.
I highly disagree. o-o I think the clarinet is the hardest instrument I've ever played (Play the piccolo normally.) It tends te just suck the air right out of me, and I have to fight to make the notes sound like they should. D;

You're not stupid, your friends are if they treat you like that. Besides, 2nd clarinet is just as important as 1st!

Yay! Finally another baritone player!!
We have 2 in our band

Ahahaha, if we blast it, we can be. I was in lessons a few days ago and my band teacher's office kind of echos. I decided to blast a high D or something and the guy sitting next to me like crouched down and covered his ears xD
Shadow wrote:I personally think that there's no "easiest instrument" or "hardest instrument--" each instrument has its difficult points and its easier points. For example, I've noticed that it's more difficult for lower brass players to project sound, but a piccolo's sound can travel quite a distance. On the other hand, I've had people who play valve instruments say to me, "how do you play that instrument since it has so many keys?" There's one of the more difficult points of playing a woodwind. ^_^
And, of course, there's the matter of prespective. I play flute/piccolo, so naturally other instruments are more difficult for me to play, but I wouldn't expect someone who plays the violin (just for sake of example xD) to find playing the flute easy (and vice-versa; I've tried to play my sister's violin, but couldn't even make a sound).
So, there's my two cents. :3
