I feel bad. In the awesome HP rp I'm in, everyone's post are better detailed and longer then mine. No matter how fun Rping my hyper little blonde is, I have a feeling it'll go downhill from here.

P.s. Rp owner, this is not a bad thing. My fail posts are it.

It's ok. It doesn't matter. My posts will slide down in length when I am not so super excited. About a paragraph a character, until I (really my muse) pick a favorite character.

Fufufu, my first posts were failed in it. And now I can't think what else to RP in it :C

Good news and bad news.

Good News: I have just come up with a very unique character who is schizophrenic and is prone to colds. He is very original and I really like him.

Bad News: He is somewhat sadistic and his unique personality makes it very hard for me to find a role play he will fit in. I'm also afraid he is too mature for CS.

Rant: When people rage about their unique characters, when frankly they're cliche and over-used. They think that having an albino, a crazy coloured haired character, blind in one eye makes their character special and unlike anything anyone has done before.
Except everyone does that.
I never see any mental oddities apart from depressed/suicidal or they have temper problems.

I have a hemophillac charrie and an autistic one, however I don't know how many times that has been used.


Rant: I feel awful, for delaying posting in this epic semi-lit RP when people are still waiting for my character reply. I just don't have muse for it anymore, and everyone is being polite and quite literate. I just don't have the muse for that RP, and all I could come up for it is a few choppy sentences D:

On the other hand, my muse tank is overflowing as I wait for a reply of an RP. It's taking a long time, though.

I think my characters are prett unique... Well at least my character Skylar, she has hypopituitarism, thought the dwarfism symptoms of it. And a severe case of Mania, bordering on schizophrenia. She's very pale and dark haired, with green eyes.

Half the time it seems like people just use this thread to brag about their RPing skills and prove just how much better and literate they are because they type a novel every post, have the single greatest characters in the history of the earth, and use perfect grammar.
It's a rant thread, use it as one. Not as a chance to boost your ego every time you meet someone who, God forbid, hasn't been RPing as long as you or puts as much effort into their posts. =P

(not directed at anyone in particular, this has just been really bugging me for a while)

Anyways, I haven't been able to use one of my favorite characters because he doesn't fit in with any of the RPs I can find. Shouldn't be that hard to find a stray dog RP.

As for unique characters, I don't think slapping a mental illness on a character makes them unique. It makes them pretty flat and boring most of the time because people make that define them and hardly flesh them out. And if you get the symptoms wrong, people are either going to want to slap you across the face or laugh at you. It can be done well, but I personally don't like to.
I guess my most unique character would be Baron, just because he's a complete idiot who freaks out at the sound of a car horn or just about anything he hasn't seen before. Which is a lot, considering he come from a secluded farm and is now stuck in the city. Though he's less unique and more just really fun to play.
