Hey, Ik this is for Christians, and I am one 50% but my main thing against Christianity is that they don't like gays and lesbians and bisexuals and all that, but the thing is they are people too and isn't one of the things in the bible not to judge thy brother? So why judge people based in the way they feel love toward another. Put yourself in their place, outcasted by many and we can welcome them! But that's why I mainly dislike Christianity. Sorry for the hate

Ah! I know someone has already answered this, but may I please but in my input?

Okay, starting off, those people who hate gays need to clear their mind and re-read the bible.
So what if being gay is a sin? (I lack knowledge on the subject, so, no, I am not saying it is) Even if it is a sin, we should love those around us. It does say in the bible to love one's neighbor as thy self and not to judge thy brother (That is our father's job) We should love everyone. Even killers, even thieves, just as much as we love ourselves and our familys. No, we do not necessarily have to like them, but it is our duty to love them. The Bible says all sins are the same. Sin is sin, that is what we're judged on. Not what the sin is.
Lots of people say God hates atheists. That is also a lie. It states clearly in the Bible that Jesus said so himself,

So the leaders of the church asked him, "What is the greatest commandment?"
Jesus replied, "Love your God with all your heart, soul and strength, and the second is like it, love your neighbor as yourself

(I know that is not word for word, but that's the just of the verse)
So basically, it's our mission to love one another and spread God's word. Not hate one another. Even if it is a sin, God does not hate anyone. If you had a child and they went and stole something, would you immediately start hating them? Start ignoring them? NO! We are God's children and he will NEVER abandon us. And in the verse, does it say "love them unless they're anything less than perfect?"? "Love your neighbor as yourself, with the exception of gays/thieves/whatever you want"? Nope.

My two cents right there. Sorry for the rant, I see this a lot and had to channel it somewhere ^^;

Lust, however, for any gender is a clear sin mentioned countless times in the Bible. Could a homosexual be saved even if they continue in that lifestyle? Truthfully, only God knows the heart and it will never be our job to judge that.

I'd just like to ask exactly how this is relevant? I really don't mean at all to be rude, but you just stated that it's a sin for any gender (and any sexuality, I'm assuming?) so I don't see how this fits as an argument either for or against homosexuality, since it is the same both ways?
You say homosexuals 'continue in that lifestyle' but it isn't as if they constantly lust after people of the same gender.
Just like you would not say that all heterosexuals live a lifestyle in which they constantly lust after those of the opposite gender, you cannot really state that all homosexuals live a life where they constantly lust after those of their own gender.

And when it comes to gay marriage, I must say I support it. After all, we live in a multi religious country, and I do not think that we can justify a law that will be enforced on those of all beliefs, by telling them that our Bible says it's wrong.
I mean, you wouldn't say to an Atheist man,

"Whether or not you follow Christianity, the Christian Bible says praising God is right. So you must go to church and sing praises to God."

You probably wouldn't say that (nor try to make it law) because this is a nation with freedom of religion, and they aren't required to follow the laws of yours.
Not to mention that it certainly isn't respectful to their personal beliefs, in the least. However many Christians think it is okay to say to a gay man,

"Whether or not you follow Christianity, the Christian Bible says homosexuality is wrong. So you can't get married."

Sorry sorry, there should have been a paragraph break there v.v; I meant that lusting after any gender is wrong. Whether you are homosexual or heterosexual, if your desires cause you to lust after someone, that's sin. I didn't want to make it fit into any argument for or against; I was just putting in what I believe and what the Bible says, may it be relevant or not ^^; Sorry if it made it sound like I was going on some belief that homosexuals lead lustful lives. Not my opinion at all! I also didn't want to take a side but sort of show the middle ground that is rarely shown. You usually either have support or bashing. I personally have views but for the sake of discussion, I'd like to focus on what the Bible does say over what I have to say.

By continuing in that lifestyle, I meant that if a homosexual were to continue having attractions (not lusting, as thought) to their same gender while being Christian, it would be only God's job to judge if they truly love and believe in Him, thus entering heaven. I know some people I've talked to believe if you were both a Christian and homosexual, you were not actually a Christian because you continued to sin knowingly. Others believe it not to be sin so it's not an issue with Christianity. For those believing either of those opinions or somewhere in the middle, I wanted to say that it is not our job to judge who's getting into heaven. It's our jobs to evangelize to everyone that they may be saved. God will deal with the rest is basically my point.

Exactly, Amy43. I don't hate the people that commit sins. If I did, I'd be hating everyone, including myself, because everyone sins. I hate the sin, not the sinner. There's a difference

Here are some bible verses I found that talk about homosexuality

1 Corinthians 6:9-11 - "Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God."

These verses state that homosexuality is a sin, but all sins can and will be forgiven, if you accept Jesus

I think that you can be a Christian and believe that Jesus died for us, and still be gay. I also believe that homosexuals have strayed off God's plan for mankind, and when they realize it, God will gladly forgive them.
