What's the weirdest belief you held as a child?

So by my parent's room and my room, there were pictures of me as a baby so when I was like 5~ I asked my mom who they were of, as a joke she said some random kid. I believed this until is was like 13 :/
also one of the pictures my dad had at his office desk and in his wallet so that made me even more concerned

It's not that weird but oddly imaginative

In school, we raised our hands to ask for something. But if we needed to go to the restroom or get a drink of water, we had different hand signs: fingers crossed and holding up three fingers, respectively. I always thought the reason for this symbolism was because the crossed fingers was like crossing your legs like you have to go, and that the three fingers was like water coming out of the fountain.

...it's literally just ASL for "R" (restroom) and "W" (water). I didn't find this out until late into elementary.

-When my parents would get mad at me I thought they weren't my real parents but imposters? Because they changed a lot from when they were in a good mood vs in a bad mood.
-That becoming 18 was fun because I could finally do "whatever I wanted", I was so innocent (and wrong lol).
-That when I was a baby I could talk to animals/attract them and I was magical
-The Pokémon Mew existed irl
- Santa was real and he was "proof" magic existed

I used to believe that custodians spoke a different language from everybody else?? I think it was because I never heard a lot of the custodians at my school talk and when they did I just heard them mumbling so that may have been the origins but I have literally no idea how I came to that conclusion

❝ i didn't know videos where prerecorded moments in the past, so i assumed that, when you watched a video it was live. this included animated things, movies etc. i assume this came from all of our cable as a child was "live tv" i.e. you couldn't fast forward...

i also assumed icarly was a real show with real people. as in, gibby and sam where real. that was the only show i thought was like that. ❞
